H1N1 Vaccine recall Canada - life threatening

The pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline says it has advised medical staff in Canada to not use one batch of swine flu vaccine for fear it may trigger life-threatening allergies.

She says the affected batch contains 172,000 doses of the vaccine. She declined to say how many doses had been administered before the advice to stop using them was given.

Yeah I know.... I haven't got the shot, and don't intend on getting one either.... this is just another strain of the flu we've come to know and love EVERY FUCKING YEAR... so I don't know what the hype is about... fuck the media. :disgust

Well, I can tell you that I have a brother that is in the military, & his pay grade is pretty high. He told me not to get the vaccine, because it can lead to Cancer or Leukemia, & the government knows this. -The chances of you catching, & dying from H1N1 are pretty slim.

really?? Weird have not heard anything about this. Will look into it.

Just another reason I am not getting this shot. They will have to shoot me before I succumb to any government required inoculation.....if it comes to that :disgust

When asked if the Vaccine was safe, he never said yes. He said something like:

They don't know why the batch of Vaccines 30 years ago killed everyone. They do the same safe process today as they did back then. And today, the same thing could happen with any batch of vaccines, and they have no warning until people start to die from it.

Have a doctor in the family and he bascially told us NOT to get the shot .. they have seen thousands of problems with perfectly healthy people with this shot. Apparently its not worth the risk so there is no way I am getting it. :(

In the meantime has anyone noticed how much cancer deaths have increased in the last say 70 to 80 years? Nah vaccines have nothing to do with that... nah... Seems like a great idea to pump our kids full of nearly 30 shots in order to attend public schools that barely teach them...

so much hype over this bullshit. i'd never get the shot, not even something i need to consider. hell, i've traveled all s.e. asia, africa, south america, never got a single shot for anything. most doctors will tell you that taking malaria pills when you go to these countries will just make you sick anyway, and aren't really that effective.

okay, not completely correct, i got a rabies shot the last time i went to cambodia.

My best friend is a medical doctor and my GP both told me not to get the shot. they both felt it was unnecessary and that the media has fueled this threat

Same here... My naturopath who is a 67 year old Chinese women with a PHD told me since I have mild asthma this flu shot could kill me.

Impossible we were told just last month on this board that almost ALL medical workers were FOR the shot. :winkwink:

From the 172,000 doses only 975 remain so its a little late to do much now but stats showed that 6 people had a reaction to that particular batch and to be extra safe they halted using the remaining 975 shots.

All the 6 people recovered just fine.

Nah, nothing else has changed in the last 50 years except vaccination practices and I'm not typing this from a machine irradiating my testicles with EMR.

And my astrologer said a surprise might come my way this week. There is literally one or two disciplines naturopaths study that aren't complete bunk (ie herbalism, nutrition etc is ok depending on the field/curriculum etc) the rest is cuckoo for cocoa puffs but enough people buy into it so whatever... If some fool wants to buy homeopathic water or get reiki then it's not exactly fraud, just a willing delusion but don't expect anything they have to say about reality to hold any weight.

The flu is overhyped, the fear of the shot is overhyped, everything is overhyped, but not getting shots before going to S.E Asia and Africa is on another level. That's pretty careless. A friend of mine just came back with positive test results for Schistosomiasis after visiting Africa, not that there is a vaccine for it but you do have to be incredibly careful, get bloodwork done after coming back, get shots etc.
