Newbie Sales Stats for 1st month

Big Fat $0 lol I've submitted 17 Free Galleries mixed thumbs and videos. Have over 300 FHG made on my server with SEO factors, a few misc tgp scripts from programs. Just Sharing, and open for comments or suggestions. I use Chameleon to submit with. I'm new to all this, but I'm thinking I need to somehow link all the free previews to get them listed on google.

The King of Pop 12-13-2009 09:04 PM

you suck imo

Iron Fist 12-13-2009 09:06 PM

Patience young grasshopper... you will see sales soon, keep working at it and build... build... build.

oberontepes 12-13-2009 09:07 PM

I quit submitting a couple of months ago because my sales were approaching $0. I'm not much for pep talks.

dav3 12-13-2009 09:09 PM

If you build it, they will cum.

ganjaman 12-13-2009 09:16 PM

target on the seo galleries and wait, for sales from seo you need from 2weeks to 6months ... :winkwink: have luck man! :)

Agent 488 12-13-2009 09:17 PM

That should Sleazys Motto :1orglaugh

CunningStunt 12-13-2009 09:30 PM

This isn't 2001. If you think submitting galleries with little knowledge of what converts is going to make you money with an autosubmitter, think again.

Back to the burger van with you.

You're 10 years too late.

So rude to newer people. Gotta love how people who have been around a while act like a new webmaster is scum.

Agent 488 12-13-2009 10:30 PM

he's been doing this since the bbs days.

Hit me on icq 15567120 if you want a pointer in the right direction.

Am participating in a project aimed at helping newbies and its doing pretty well so far :) Though its a long term game and not easy money in the short term by any means.

They're not scum, they're idiots.

Spankys Teens 12-13-2009 10:53 PM

Hi, welcum to the scene.
Some guys here think they seem to know it all :)
Dude, imho you should think like this:
Say for example you just opened a new electronic shop (bricks) and your shop is positioned between other electronic stores.....It's gonna take some time before people will actually come in and spend some money in your store.

Porn is no different. You decided to go into adult and now after just one month you're expecting people to come to your website, trust you and buy. I think your expectations are a little high after one month.

It personally took me about a year to get some steady sales and that was in 2003/4.
Earning good money on porn is still possible but since the uprising of tubes it has got a little more challenging.

My personal advise to you would be:

Make people come to your site first and see which programs converts for you and your visitors. Once you know that make sure that you update your site every day and then start building some kickass galleries. Auto submitters are great tools but don't depend just on them. Software never has the ability to use common sense! I hope you do.
I have never really used auto submitters and the reason why: Cuz everyone else has it so we're all using the same pool to fish sales.

Also not to forget: make sure that you start making friends with some fellow webmasters for link trading but also to share ideas. I must say that most of the adult webmasters are great people and most of them aren't shy of sharing ideas and helping out (even with scripts etc). Check out wordpress bad boy Fris. He's a great webmaster that always seems to help people with their wordpress questions.

So bro, good luck with it all, don't expect the world of sales cuz YOU decided to open a porn site.

PM me if you want some help

Ciao

Horny Dude 12-13-2009 10:54 PM

Best advice on here is build, build, build. Don't worry about stats right now. Don't log in every chance you get to check your stats either. You keep seeing that big fat $0 and it will just grind you down. Instead build and keep building your sites, trading links and submitting. Check your stats after you get a check you never knew was coming.

spacedog 12-13-2009 11:00 PM

There's 10,000+ people just like you jumping into this business every single month like numbnuts thinking it's easy money.

Only a month, and during the worst international economy we've had in decades, + it's holiday season to boot.. with thousands of tube sites packed to the gills with thousands of full length dvd for free and over 100,000+ seasoned veterans in the biz competing against you.. what the fuck did expect.

:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh at gallery submissions too.. Gallery submits aren't for making money.. they're free content for the TGP's bookmarkers whom are seasoned freeloaders.

Forget gallery submissions and build a hub to link all your gals from.. then move on to a blog, tgp or whatever..

Gallery submits have the worst ratios anyway.. get one listed on the hun and you'll see 0:9,100,002,356

Patience is a virtue and that has never been more true in porn than right now!

Jdoughs 12-13-2009 11:41 PM

Starting fresh today and submitting nothing but galleries would be like entering the Television/Monitor market this year, and your best product being a 14" CRT Monitor.

And you weren't an idiot back in '01? I'd love to see someone who was born with the knowledge to get a shit load of traffic and everything else.

bdld 12-14-2009 01:14 AM

that worked 8 years ago, not today.

Les Grossman 12-14-2009 01:57 AM

Wordpress.org

Google loves blogs. Start there, build until you get a few sales. Copy it and do it again, and again and again.

In 2001? No, not at all. I've been at this since before Al Gore invented the internet.

You can't come into this business and turn a profit for a long, long time unless you have some money to invest. I admire you newbies' drive but for 99.9% of you it will end in complete and total failure. If anyone thinks otherwise then they're an idiot.

Altwebdesign 12-14-2009 02:19 AM

keep the faith!

Ginn 12-14-2009 02:39 AM

Well, we all were newbies. So cheer up and work! Good luck!:)

I agree. If you're just starting out go with blogs instead of galleries, you would have a much better change at succeeding.

Worst advice ever. :2 cents:
Because thousands of low-skilled idiots do just the same, and therefore are decreasing everybody's margins even more.
The last thing the internet needs is more idiots building free porn sites.

My advice: get a bachelor degree. Get a real job. :2 cents:

RTP 12-14-2009 05:41 AM

galleries as starting point 2009 is pretty tough man.

like many others said here, blog is a good start. there are tons of plugins to really make a blog more then that these days, it can be a portal/hub or whatever. do a little of everything and see what you like doing the most, it'll keep your motivation up and will be less tedious long run.

if you are going a blog route, do yourself a favor and take your time in building quality over quantity

:2 cents:

(2006 was my first adult first blog)

james_clickmemedia 12-14-2009 06:56 AM

I believe I only made a few cents my first month in online adult biz back in 1997.. I think x pics sent me a check for $0.17c or maybe it was 27cents.. I forget.

alias 12-14-2009 07:01 AM

Porn is dead [atm], ask anyone. Without new payment solutions, don't even bother.

Bojangles 12-14-2009 07:27 AM

Keep at it. Good luck.

Denny 12-14-2009 07:32 AM

There is no money in porn.

Big Chad 12-14-2009 05:34 PM

LMAO.. You guys are a trip :) Alot of good pointers.. I appreciate it. Iv'e been out of the porn game for over 10 years... That's what you used to do was build a preview page and submit. I didn't expect to make an assload of sales, with all the new methods of doing things, like FHG's tubes blogs etc.. I signed up after 10 years and saw a link list to FHG from sponsors and was like O.O lmao I'm gonna keep at it, till something works. Thanks for the encouragement!

pornguy 12-14-2009 08:09 PM

Do your self a favor.. take portions of this thread, add them all together and work.

Tgp site. Galleries submitted. Blogs. Free sites, everything that gets traffic.

$5 submissions 12-14-2009 08:37 PM

rob04 12-14-2009 10:43 PM

Hang in there... or sell your sites and then watch them grow someone else's wallet!

HandballJim 12-14-2009 10:49 PM

I would try new things and stick to a niche that you like personally. I love Japanese girls so I enjoy promoting something that I like. The same way I love playing Handball and also promote the sport through a website.

If your just posting links of stuff that you have no idea of the niche and hoping to make money...good luck. To me that would be a lot of work with no enjoyment. The best advice I can give you is hang around these boards and read. Make some friends on here and someone just might hold your hand and help you make money.
