PLAYERS BALL THANKS - Review, feedback, pics & videos
 

First I'd like to thank CECASH & SugarCash for stepping up as our main sponsors. Without their support and contributions we couldn't have pulled this party off. Also, huge thanks to AVN for putting together another Internext, especially Megan over there. She works hard and pays attention to detail.

First, here's a little video I just made from the very beginning of the night. STRIPPERS ON STAGE
When we throw a Players Ball, we usually bring our own sound system, always booming. So my audio was over modulated, dubbed over the video with a tune. I hope to have more videos later, I'll post them here. Please post videos and pics in this thread if you have them.

My review of the Ball:

We switched venues about 2 weeks from show time. Originally it was going to be at Rain but we had to move. Luckily, we ironed out a deal with Sapphire. I'd have to say that Sapphire was a way better choice then Rain anyway! The venue had the perfect layout of VIP booths, tables, lot's of space, quick bar service and tons of hot strippers dancing on stage all night. I would definitely do it there again.

The vibe of the night was a Players Ball. We had 3 opening acts, YT Cracker keeps getting better and better, I thought he killed it. Then Truth122 made their 2nd performance at the Ball, top notch again. Angela Jaden and her back up dancers changed up the routine with a fresh performance, definitely a crowd pleaser. She was just signed with Interscope. Ron Jeremy was back on stage again to help the Ju Tang Clan (D$, KB & J$tyle$) introduce Warren G. I think the person who had the best time at the Ball was Warren G. His entire performance had hot strippers dancing with him, he definitely dug that! The crowd even knew lot's of his lyrics, very cool to see. Just an all around solid performance.

Now I wish I could take everyone backstage to hang out, I managed to pull a few people back there. It was like a 2nd party, watching Warren G sing karaoke. I got a little video of it, maybe I'll post it later. Lot's of fun.

We had a big turn out, thanks again to everyone who came. Definitely another classic Players Ball.

That was a great Players Ball D$

It was definitely the largest gathering of the entire show. I didn't even know that many people were there until the Players Ball.

If I had one complaint...it would be the one that I heard over and over. Once again we get railed on drink prices. $12 for a Michelob Ultra was insane.

I know that's not your fault. But damn. Please come to Vegas early and let me show you some clubs next time you do a Players Ball in Sin City. :) We'll get those drink prices down to reality so folks can party without taking out a bank loan!

Other than that one thing though...this was the best Players Ball in the last few years in my opinion! Great show, good business, and I ran into a few guys who were hiding out at the show that I haven't seen in 10 years.

Great feedback. Yeah, drink prices are high at Sapphire. But hey, we had naked chicks on stage all night!

I was very happy with the turn out. Pleasantly surprised actually.
I just wish I had more time to hang out with people, that's my 1 complaint. Too much to handle, gets complicated when you have artists and sound equipment issues. We were about to introduce Warren G, the DJ did his intro, then the mics died. They needed a maintenance guy to flip the breaker switch. Most of that goes unnoticed to everyone else, but it keeps me on my toes all night.

Sapphire is a great strip club for sure, :thumbsup but the prices are rediculas.

Didn't know Warren G (unknown in Holland) but all the rappers entertained the public very well. And the strippers in the back must be there at all players balls. That makes it a real players ball.

The 20 dollar labdances were also great. I should have asked a VIP treatment, than i had seen erveryone in the VIP room ;)

Sponsored free beer always tastes better. But if i had to choose between the Rain with cheaper beer, or the Saphhire, than i prefer sapphire with more expensive beer. But what are we talking about, 100 dollar beer p/p is only 65 euros.

1 guard wanted me to delete the pictures i made. But later everyone was making pictures and i shot new ones.

I missed the floor parties this year :( The 24 hour poker tournament always was great to walk inn.

Great memories.. Backstage with Warren was crazy.. I was the last to leave. I look around and everyone industry is gone but me and Warren and his crew. The only non negros were me and the strippers!

I'm just very happy to hear everyone had a great time. Unfortunately for me, I got a really bad stomach flu as I was leaving the party and couldn't make the rest of the trade show. Just glad it happened AFTER the Players Ball.

I know there are more pics and videos out there. Let's see some more!

Also, thanks for the feedback. I had no idea how much they were charging for drinks and bottles. I barely drank and the venue sported me a bottle. Next time we do an event at Sapphire I'll be sure to hammer them about the drink prices. Does anyone know if those prices are their normal prices? Or did we pay more? I'd love for this industry to come back to old form so we can have enough sponsorships to pay for everyones drinks!

i really thought that it was a great party. the video that D put together of all the old shots from the players ball was great, i liked the venue, and the show was fun. great night to have it, and a great night was had. thank you D

I've never been to Sapphires before. But I have been to Cheetahs and Glitter Gulch (Claudia-Marie danced at both places), and a beer was "strip prices" 5 to 7 bucks a beer

And that's way too much. So I would guess that the 12 to 15 bucks a beer at Sapphires was definitely them jacking it up on the event. No way us locals would go to a titty bar and pay that kind of money.
