With a border like this all the laws will not stop the problem.
Seriously do you think that the law they want to pass in Arizona will stop people coming over?
If so watch this. The border's a joke. The commentator says it's hard to build a wall to stop the flow. Tell that to the people who lived in the Iron Block, between 1950 and 1989. I've saw what those States put up and it was awesome. Very very few got across. If the US or any State is serious about stopping Illegals, they should build something to stop them I've driven down the freeway from LA to San Diego and seen the Mexicans walking along side the freeway. :Oh crap As for the farmer who helped illegal immigrants by giving them jobs. There's also your problem. |
You have no idea!
|
Or we could do it the easy way and simply admit that our border is not secure and be upfront with the American public by telling them, look, a certain amount of illegals are going to come in every day. That's just the way it is. We aren't going to build a wall, and we aren't going to arm the border with soldiers. That means, the border will never be secure. People need to get used to it.

A wall is only as good as it's length, width and thickness. So unless that wall goes from the Texas end of the Mexican border to the Pacific Ocean, it's useless. Unless it has armed guards monitoring every inch of it, it's useless.

With all the money spent on controlling that border to stop drugs and immigrants you would think someone in the US would of worked out how useless that border is. Having armed guards shooting people is extreme. Having motion detectors and intercepting people isn't. Passing a law to send them home when you find them is pretty useless as well. Politicians think problems can be solved by laws. |

What we can do is streamline the process that allows people to become legal american citizens. Demand to be admitted is super high, and the number of ticket takers cant possibly deal with the crowd rushing the gates. Stamp their hands and be done with it. Screw testing.
|
What we need to do it make it so illegals aren't winning the lottery by getting over the border. Repeal the 14th amendment, don't let illegals have free health care, free food, free housing, free education, stop hiring them, arrest those that do hire them, and put some teeth into the laws that are already in place.

I know a woman who is here illegally (from Germany, not Mexico - I want this to affect EVERYONE here illegally). She had 2 kids here. Because they are under 18, not only are they covered for everything, she has a free place to live, and SHE gets free medical and dental care. Multiply that times a few million. :disgust And I agree with Tom - streamlining also needs to be put into place. But the fact remains, too many people are here illegally. :2 cents: |
Every country in the world can take care of their borders except the USA. Riiiiight.
They don't want to take care of the border problem. That is the real problem. |
It's called "insourcing."
This is the global corporate agenda at work. The corporates control the government, they control the border. If they wanted illegal immigration stopped, it would stop tomorrow. Instead, corporate profits remain king. In their pursuit of ever growing profit margins, any American job that cannot be outsourced (to cut wages paid), will be insourced. Mexicans are a cheap (low wage) labor pool easily insourced and exploited for higher corporate profits. :2 cents: |
Seeing how open the Southern border of the US is almost makes me wonder whether terrorism isn't a threat anymore to the US.
In the face of all of the security measures that we are put through as passengers in airports, why would terrorists use airplanes anymore? They easily could come through any part of the southern border of the US quite easily, wreak havoc and leave the same way they came. |

Blaming it on any President is weak. The border has been like that for decades. |

The deteriorating socio/economoic conditions in Mexico will lead to attempted mass migration to the North in order to avoid the violence and the results of the impending collapse of that failed government. 2,000 mile border? 20 guys to the mile, all armed with night vision, proper field equipment, a Ma Deuce for each mile, a healthy mix of Humvees, Bradleys and Strykers, with rotary wing and drone air support, combined with effective communications and supply delivery and you got it made. Shoot to kill orders beyond a certain point with warning shots fired beforehand. The USA can go to the Moon, can invade Iraq, can fight a war in Afghanistan but cannot secure its own borders? LEFTIST, APOLOGIST, AMERICA HATING PROPAGNADA! Sally. |

Now you;re talking and I like your style. We just need a president with balls, which we have been lacking for many many years :thumbsup It's time to play hardball because that is the only thing these idiots will understand.....they certainly do not understand the word illegal nor our laws. http://nikkilicks.com/pics/fuckmexico_1.jpg |

I asked for a solution that wasn't absurd, ridiculous or impossible. |
California is already helping solve the "border problem"
If they finally make pot 100% legal (no prescription needed) and then other states pick up on that too...then we'll be back to peaceful wetbacks doing the menial labor like picking fruit and veggies and cleaning the kitchens in restaurants and lawn services and all the other things they have been doing since the beginning of time. Of course, if other states do NOT follow Cali and end the idiotic "war on drugs"...then we are going to have a NEW problem. We're going to have to station the entire army on the California border to keep people from smuggling pot to the rest of the U.S. :1orglaugh Fuck it! Let's build walls around every state! :pimp |

When you speak of states legalizing ot you are talking REVOLUTION, you know! Pot is STILL ILLEGAL under FEDERAL LAW and BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA does NOT support either decriminalization or legalization. Do you mean that you are saying that the states should tell the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO GO FUCK ITSELF? The FEDS can quash the whole "legal pot" thing any time they want and they will just to show the people WHERE THE POWER LIES. Or where they think it does. The Federales forget that true power lies with THE PEOPLE! Oh, dear, oh dear! My Dad gave me this one! Sally. |
