You will be discretely paid out as...
For the last week I've received 4 checks in my mailbox (thank you epassporte!), 3 of them had porn-related references printed on the actual check. How do I suppose to bring them to the bank where half of the clerks know me personally and one of them is my neighbour living few houses away from me?!
Is it necessary to print that kind of info on the actual check?!? Why not to print stuff like that on a piece of paper I can read, tear away from the check and leave it for my records? Dear affiliate program owners, if you care about privacy of your members why you can't take care about privacy of your affiliates? It not that difficult... Thanks! |
ever heard of an ATM?
|
sounds like part of the problem with the bank and epass... now fully disclosing all transactions to be reported
|
Pls re-read... it has nothing to do with atms or epass but programs who don't care about privacy of their affiliates.

Just curious, what companies have porn-related references printed on the check ?

You could however drive a little further away to another branch and make the deposit there. |
ATM?! You guys must be kidding... check clearance takes 1-2 months if you're outside North America ;)

That happened to us this week, too . . . Delia's porn name printed right in the reference line. It's worse for us because we have sites ourselves so if people google our names, they'll see us naked!! Also, we live in a relatively rural & isolated area so going to another town is a big expense of gas and time.

They aren't stupid. When they see a name like "DeliaDelions" or "TastyTrixie" they're going to go home and google the shit out of that. |
I think St. Kitts bank wants way more disclosure on transactions and thus the epass shutdown.
So now a porn name on the bank... I know some banks are really tough about everything on a check... especially MX. In the US... not a problem but I suspect other locations it could be a big one |
My check this week only had the pornsite name on the tearoff. If only the check had not been shaped like a dick. j/k
Seriously, I have never had one with the porn name or logo on the check itself Depending on the check and the bank, it may be processed electronically at the machine. |
I used to love getting checks from StiffyCash i think the company was called StiffyCash Inc or something lol
|
|
yeah gotta watch your user name its often in the memo field :) I remember a long long time ago betting a check from like Fuck Bucks or something like that . that is what was actually on the check as the compnay name. gotta love it
|
Of course some companies may do this simply because a certain percentage of people will not bank the checks. It is a variation on an old mail order scam where you order something, they cashed your check, and then said it was sold out and sent you a refund check from something like Tiny Penis Club Inc or Cock Sucking Techniques Ltd etc.
|
I could give 2 shits if the check said gay cock master on it, as long as it doesn't bounce. Been with the same credit union for over 15 yrs and never had a problem cashing checks
|
Bikinichat.com used to have their url not only on the check but on the outside of the envelope! Makes you wonder why the postman gets so friendly!
Luckily (?) they closed shop a long time ago. |

Yeah I know the deal. Had a check with "gay porn" on it... Sucks if you know the cashier, and you're straight!

Haha. Remember the checks I got from iBill back in the days.
They used to print out the username on them. So I had usernames like "freeanalsex" or something. People at the bank always looked at them like "Wtf??!" |

Everyone has a right to discretion, I'm not trying to say it's cool to put a clearly adult language on a check, but if it helps any of you guys out I stopped caring what people thought of me at the bank a while ago and I couldn't be happier.
I don't know why, maybe because the bank is the gatekeeper to my cash, but I used to really care what people thought of me at the bank. I would even go as far as throwing on a sweater or a jacket before going in there to cover my tattoos, etc. It took me a bit to get it, probably the 3rd or 4th time one of the account managers asked me what the hell it was I did for a living that it sunk in. They don't see me, they only see the dollar amount of my bank accounts and they treat me accordingly. I don't give a damn what the people at the bank think of me and it hasn't changed my banking relationships what so ever. No one should force you to be made uncomfortable by what they have printed on a check, but if it helps you to look at it this way the people inside the bank are really just service industry when you boil it down. They shouldn't judge you, and if you feel that they are you can always remind yourself that you make more $$ than them anyway. I don't know about you, but I'd rather be thought of as a dirty pornographer than a bank teller anyday. |
get off your high horse. for dozens of reasons people don't want anal creampies on their checks, not the least is that banks see porn and gambling etc as high risk. why risk the bank fucking around with your money just because a program is stupid enough to put your username on the check. idiots. we live in an imperfect complex society, we are not in high school battling the jocks.

I do, and I live in a very small town. I just got a check yesterday that had a generic company name printed on it. However, someone must have thought I was too stupid to figure out who was paying me, because they helpfully wrote "Dungeon Bank" in the memo. That was on the envelope too. I agree with the OP. I don't want porn references on checks that I receive. I don't care for myself what people think, but I do care for my sons. I *especially* care for my minor son, because I am not anxious to have to prove in court why I am not a bad parent for slinging smut on the internet. |
<--- has dropped sponsors in the past for printing porn-related stuff on their checks.
|
It's cute how nobody seemed to read or consider my posts/issue, which involves people not just finding out we're selling porn, but selling PORN FEATURING OURSELVES and live cams, which the locals could all easily find by referencing our names on the memo lines, etc. Kind of amps up the risk factor and level of exposure, don't you think?
We live in a small town and have already had at least one dude show up on our doorstep because he knows about our sites. Really not interested in people at the bank reading our blogs, seeing us naked, telling more folks in our small town to check out our sites, etc. Realistically I know this might happen, but we should be able to trust folks IN OUR INDUSTRY to have a clue about protecting some of this information. |

i got my account restricted and cash back suspended for putting us checks in the atm. the rest of the world is not a larger america, there are differences outside the border.

I apologize if my response seemed unsympathetic. I wasn't trying to address any comment specifically, just offering my own personal take on how I deal with it.
I don't support companies putting blatant adult text on payments. I don't live in a big city but I have never lived in a town small enough where the people who work at the bank have any interraction with or effect on my personal life or social circle. My only suggestion for those of you in that situation would be to contact the sponsor and request they re-cut the check or pay you our via wire or other electronic payment method if possible. |
