what do you think of the Rep system?

do you care about it?

RogerV 10-03-2010 10:16 PM

now i can give all the haters a bad rep

Spunky 10-03-2010 10:16 PM

People are going to judge you regardless of any point system and basing a opinion on how many dots you have is kinda pointless

How do you know if someone gave you rep? I posted in two threads about people giving rep and I dont think they did.

Sweet I did the same to you:thumbsup

vittle 10-03-2010 10:24 PM

depends on how they count the votes. For example, if someone with a "good rep" give you a vote either way, it counts for more than say, a new guy who just joined gfy and the biz.

k0nr4d 10-03-2010 11:45 PM

I think its stupid to judge a person based on how many green or red dots they have. I'm gonna ignore it completely and I think that soon everyone will just be ignoring it. I don't even know how to give people rep...

Davy 10-04-2010 12:15 AM

I don't care about it. But it should be turned off again.

Don't really care but still to have rep system is better than don't have it :)

ThumbLord 10-04-2010 12:36 AM

what k0nr4d said

beta-tester 10-04-2010 12:42 AM

I think it's not relevant ;) Because everyone mutually reps each other :)

p.s
rep me :thumbsup

Paul Markham 10-04-2010 01:16 AM

People judge you on what you write. Whether it fits their own agenda. If it does you're great if it doesn't they flame.

after the initial hype the rep system will be good to know who to avoid doing business with.

Tjeezers 10-04-2010 03:25 AM

Who has who`s finger in who`s ass

seeandsee 10-04-2010 04:27 AM

repenis is biger then yours

wild johnny 10-04-2010 05:18 AM

I don't really see what good it will do. If you hang around and participate it is becomes obvious who has character and who is just a character.

quiet 10-04-2010 05:27 AM

could not give a shit.

CaptainHowdy 10-04-2010 05:36 AM

Whatev's...

fuzebox 10-04-2010 06:38 AM

I am completely indifferent. It's a useless feature for this community :2 cents:

I will add that it only seems to be serving as a distraction

MaDalton 10-04-2010 07:11 AM

actually the avatar is more useful - people should show their real faces. :2 cents:

You think people give rep based on business?

I've had 2 people give me rep. Neither did for business reasons.

That goes against the whole concept of an avatar. A avatar of a pic of yourself is not an avatar is called a pic of yourself. What's next, porn stars and strippers using their real names?

Wizzo 10-04-2010 07:24 AM

I'm actually surprised at how accurate it is with a few exceptions and a few that have worked to manipulate it.

I can't rep anyone, I feel underprivilaged. Am I the only one?

Just tried to rep myself, that didn't fly either.... damn

i'm just saying that usually the tendency to scam people is lower when people know how you actually look like

i know - even Brad Pitt envies me because of my good looks :upsidedow :1orglaugh

ruff 10-04-2010 07:41 AM

I think it's just something to excite the board for a while. Without 100% participation it isn't relevant.

Well one would have to be pretty stupid to use their real pic then try to scam someone. Also how do we know that is REALLY you in your avatar?

signupdamnit 10-04-2010 07:45 AM

There is the potential for it to be useful but I think as of right now it's more of a toy that people are playing around with.

A decent con-man could scam you face-to-face and you'd even hold the door open for him on his way out.
