Regarding domain name being listed for $9999, please check it was on sale before it dropped. Check web archives its there since 2001, This domain name was never available for register since 2001 beside it dropped recently and i got it. I have already mentioned about it in the posts before.

Why don't you visit freewhitelabel.com find a turnkey. Set up the domain and build on it.
A domain that you can prove with stats that you have built it up. A domain with traffic is what the second hand domain market is about. With traffic you might have something to sell and you can then use the domain only appraisal to really sell the domain. Adult brand names are not like generic domains they don't offer targeted traffic and there are too many for sale.
Site with traffic are always in demand. I am going to recommend that you show efforts of development on brand sites.

Thanks, your suggestion is very good. I have only worked on generic domains, so i don't have much idea about it. The only problem i see in setting up as you said is time, right now i might not be able to give much time on it, lets see if can manage some time in couple of weeks.

Sedo is good for those typing in the domain. The home page of sedo doesn't make searching for your site simple. There are some good ways to get more exposure on domains for example huntingmoon is a GFY site so has more targeted adult webmasters looking for your keyword and if listing whole portfolio profile your add could be one click from homepage.
Sedo is better for other domains very generic, Brandbucket is best for short brands. Not every domain is suited to the one market place godaddy has high appraisals etc to get you ask for more.
