We will do our best to stop all scrapers that scrape our scraper, and will make your life a living hell :)

yo you got played tens of thousands of dollars ... lmao bro, the average rate for a coder is $30, say you paid $10k, thats about 333 hours which is about a month STRAIGHT of work

and any crackhead can code a scraper, its not hard, look at videoswiper

you got played for ya papa mayn :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

I reiterate, any modification in formatting cliphunter makes, the scraper will still grab the embed code and the video title without any problems. Those two, cannot be easily affected.

Any changes cliphunter makes, i will update the code accordingly.

If you want a bulk 230,000 Video Database, you can purchase that too.

Hey EvilGuy wb.

im seriously surprised by the number of coders / site owners who believe that ip blocking / design changes are the way to go to prevent scraping...

y'all should go back to class, and read up on lighttpds funky hotlinking prevention modules...

the keywords y'all are gonna want to google are...

drum roll...

allow-x-send-file

for the php coders out there that care... basically lets you do any php pre-processing, then when appropriate conditions are met, hands control over to lighttpd and sends the flv via lighttpd NOT via php... mix that in with a nice little rewrite system, something that generates an md5 based on current timestamp (or whatever other system you like to use...) plus some referrer checking... sprinkle a little bit of javascript obstrufication(sp?) and viola... this scraper is made null and void! no matter how hard the writer of this script tries to make it current...

great way around having to buffer 100megs (or however large the video may be) into phps memory which will kill almost any file server thats doing even the slightest bit of traffic... which is the main (and only? as far as my 8 years banging away at php tell me...) reason why peeps arnt pre-processing all flv transfers...

then again, any coder who can code in a real language can get around all that fairly easily given the right amount of time...

enjoy!

You cant block scraping. you cant stop it..

First of all, are you sure this is suppose to be a piracy assault topic?
This guy is talking about embed codes, which dont even require anything but a embed code links your site is probably providing. You actually promote embed codes to get free advertising and links back.. So if you have embed codes, why are you attacking this guy? Embed Codes were created for viral marketing... He is doing what you want him to do.

If you knew anything about how the tube sites worked, you'd realize the game is all about embed codes and free hosts and traffic jerks.

And hotlink protection, does not stop scraping, it stops from pasting content on your ste that is linked from another.. So not sure why this is coming up in prevention clauses..

FLV's can not be protected against via hotlink protection (other than below), unless under some sort of user authentication system and only then can it be done via limit control.

FLV's can only be protected via streaming servers that are under authentication, and only then can it be controlled by limits of some sort.

And no design changes will prevent one bit of any data mining / leeching.. sites are leeched via html parsing, so if its in a a href, you can grab every href off your page.. or img, or whatever in a milisecond and parse thru them
