What do you think about multiple billing options for clients

Please let me know what you think...

If you are a billing processor I don't care about your opinion... I'm curious about what webmasters think or program owners...

-> Is it better to concentrate only on the credit card billing + maybe 1 or 2 alternative payment options ? limited choice for the customer...

-> do you believe that offering like a dozen billing option might increase your conversion ?
(phone 1900 , micropayment, direct debit EU, credit cards, prepaid cards, etc...)

I've heard opinions from program owners saying that giving too many billing options is confusing for your client and it will lower your conversion...

Do you offer multiple price points (trial, 30 days, 90 days,...) or only one? I guess you are giving the user the choice. So why not giving them the choice how to pay?

Furthermore credit card isn't the #1 payment option around the world. If you only want sales from certain countries, limit to credit card only. If you want worldwide sale, give these users the chance to pay how they are used to pay.

          thanks AHarper,

anyone believes offering too many billing options might confuse the customer and drop the conversion on the join form ?

I like ccbill as a sponsor because I can set up the affiliate program and ccbill does all the work, including paying my affiliates

I like ccbill as an affiliate because I get one check per week, every week, on time with no excuses and no excessive minimum amount necessary.

I've used CCBill since I set up, but I couldn't help feeling that I was missing out on all the potential debit/maestro card subscriptions I could be missing out on.... so I hooked up with Epoch and GXB (for phone billing) to pick up those extra $$$
