The logic leading up to your conclusions is OK - that it comes down to money being the first priority. But in the end your conclusion that you should partake in the adult tube phenomenon is most probably incorrect. We tried a bit of tube traffic maybe 6-9 months ago... it was LOUSY. There are definitely MUCH better ways to get traffic even in the short term - not to mention that over the long term tube sites may make it a LOT more difficult to SELL any adult video product on the web.
You should reconsider.
