Is the order in which pages come up under a "site:siteURL.com" search basically an indication of the order of general weight/authority Google sees the pages of the site? Was just wondering because on one site I've got, I have subpages targeted to particular terms, and I happened to notice that the one that seems to have been getting the best rankings for its term (with relation to the strength of the term/the traffic coming in from it) was 2nd to the home page in the order and thought there might be some correlation.
That second page was probably more relevant to the search request than the index page is/was... check your page content to be sure.
