I'm on a month to month. The trick is to be nice, never bitch, complain, etc. These people here this all day long, no one ever calls to say "hey overpriced shitty cable company, your doing a great job!"
I just said I've called in a few times because my Internet has been kinda wacky and wanted to see if there is anything I can do. She said hold on, let me pass you to tech support. They then said, maybe its with the speed, we'll up your line and see if that makes a difference or we'll send someone out.
Plus, I'm on a month to month too with Verizon so they know I can walk at anytime
