I've seen what sponsors have done here lately, and apparently, for longer than I know of (being new in adult). They just shut their doors taking all of the affiliate money, even those still working hard for them, and they don't give one single shit about doing it.
So, if you cutting an affiliate's commission who hasn't sent you sales in 6 months help you keep your doors open to those still working hard for you, yes, do it, and use that cash to keep the program open.
