There are many low paying jobs that make the world go 'round. The military is just one of them. The military does not protect bullshit. They damn well sure do not protect our freedom. In a true scenario where our literal freedom is at risk, most men in the country would have to be drafted. So now that we have established that the military means shit to our daily lives, why are we forced to worship the troops?
A big problem is the military is all lower class conservatives have got. So they put it on a pedestal to psych themselves into believing their kids are doing something special. God forbid sending their kids to college and giving them a real career. Can't do that, so send them off to get shot at and feel better about it because they just saved the freedom of every American. LOOOOL
