Interstellar was made with the help with Kip Thorne, a real theoretical physicist in gravity and astrophysics. The movie deals with space, relativity, time dilation, wormholes, black holes, and a universe beyond 3 dimensions, all of which are proven scientific facts. Nothing "pseudo" these at all.
Inception is a fantastic multilayered mind-bending story with loads of layer and detail. Of course there is the story of Cobb's mission but there is also a deeper story about Cobb and Mal, and of course, the ultimate mind-fuck at the very last second.
Both movies are in my top 5 favourite movies of all time.
If you get the chance, consider re-watching both of them.

i understand his point. A friend of mine saw inception and he was really ecstatic about it, like it was mind blowing. So i went in with big expectations, but they weren't met at all... it's a simplistic story, and the 'dream inside a dream' part isnt mind blowing, it's (once again) just a gimmick.
I did gave it another try a while ago and could appreciate it more for what it really was: a mediocre but quite entertaining movie, nothing more.
Interstellar started promising with the dead wasteland where people were trying to make the best of it, but it became completely retarded when he ended up in the bookcase. It was such a huge anticlimax, like some kind of bad punchline.
The most entertaining and best science fiction movie i have seen recently is edge of tomorrow. Loved that movie, a great ride, and it has humor it. Best sci fi of the past couple of years.
