Lets say you would need to work 5 years without spending any time with family in order to set it up.
Or 10 years with balancing 50/50 time for work and family.
And you find out that you have only 5 years left to live. That would mean you would need to work non stop (almost no family time) in order to set them up. Would you do so?
Alternatively (if you did not knew that) you would continue working the 50/50 route and you'd die before setting it up, but you would have quality 5 years with your family instead. And it is not that they would be broke (you would still leave a decent capital to them).
Just brainstorming
