What do you mean they had zero internet skills? They were able to open a browser and as you say use one of the AI services to enter some prompts, right? That's *some" skills. I'm guessing these people also registered a domain, got a server, etc. Otherwise, what was the point of creating the game? Is it all for fun (games do make money), or are these friends of yours trying to run a business? Why not share a link to the game?
Mindi "bless her heart" needed info on buying a domain name. Heads up, you don't really need cursor for that, you'll get the same info from google. But, either way I think it's safe to say you're not really be super tech savvy, but sounds like you have the DIY mentality and persistence to make it happen!

Please keep us updated on your progress Mindi, and the hours that it takes you to complete this task and would love to see the final product. Seriously, genuinely curious.
The question is, how many will take the time to "Do it Yourself" like Mindi or your friends? Only time will tell I guess...
Like I said, there have been MANY do it yourself website builders available on the market, yet the need for programmers is still here, that's my only point. Well, my other point was that since I can do it myself, or do it with the help of using AI, I did not see a huge time saving advantage with this example. I'm sure with other examples, it will be much quicker.
I don't sell/offer programming services, so I won't be affected either way. Yeah, I'm sure some will use AI to build something magical, no doubt. But, the topic of this post was "It's Basically Over for Web Programmers", I personally don't think so.
