Paxum card + ATM in europe

= what currency exchange rate ? how much % is lost ?

we already know that taking out euros or other currency with payoneer card will cost a LOT (like 3%) i wonder what are paxum (or rather mastercard) fees.

I don't know what, if any, are the fees, but here's a bump.

I think the conversion rate is set by master card or issuing bank , not by paxum or payoneer. It was the same with epass

What he said.

Paxum does not charge any Forex fee of our own. The Forex fees are charged by MC and the different banks involved in the transaction.

I'm going to stay out of all those paxum threads.

I did enough already for that company.
Some people neg rep'd me because I support paxum. pffffff amusing.

But If it can help ... 600 euros -> $848.16 (paxum cash from a "euro" ATM)
Thats +9,40 euros (mc exchange fee + atm fees)

.

I think the conversion rate is set by the bank that runs the ATM.. Might want to make sure to use a Bank ATM and Not a private ATM that way you get the best rate.

I don't know.
I have to withdraw a smaller amount to see the difference.
Maybe there is a fixed atm fee in it.

Etrade is the best card, they dont charge any currency conversion fee like paxum and others, you get the real VISA exchange rate, with no mark-ups from the card issuer....

However it looks like Paxum even if they have a fee of aprox 1%, they are still better then Payoneer who has 3%....

ok se we have an answer, its comparable to epassporte, then propably had even worse rate like 1.5%

1% is fine it cant be better, 3% of payoneer is fuckin STEAL

im voting for paxum because im from europe and exchange rate is very important for me.

Lets face it... epass was the most affordable in "fee saving" from any other competitor online...
Sad but true..
Also for me the exchange rate is very important... hope one day it will drop to 1:1 :D

Would be nice to see a company set one of these cards up that has this in place:

Headquarters set up and getting paid in local currency in Japan, China, UK, Spain, Germany, US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Italy.

Then when you go to the ATM they give you your currency at the exchange rate without a fee because they are literally just transferring it internally.

ATM fees, that is the fee charged by the bank owning the ATM, vary from bank to bank and from location to location.

Did you know that at some casinos the ATM fee can be as much as $20?

Just a question, is it really SECURE to send all those scanned documents and such to this place, to verify the account?

Did everyone here sent their personal SCANNED DOCUMENTS to them to verify their account?

I ask, because PAYPAL DOESN'T ask for SCANNED DOCUMENTS, VERY SENSIBLE info and such... They ask for a credit card and then they verify, but not SCANNED DOCUMENTS and STATEMENTS, PASSPORTS or even PHOTO IDS... (¿?)

did everyone here with a verified account at paxum sent their SCANNED DOCUMENTS to them?

Is it really SECURE? How do they protect our information and SCANNED Documents?

.

Yes both myself and several of my affiliates have set up Paxum Business accounts and uploaded all required documents. My phone conversations with the Mark at Paxum have been extensive and I believe that security within the Paxum operation is held by them as paramount. Your personal info is safe and secure with Paxum.

By the way, Paypal will most certainly require scanned docs, phone, email and postal verification and if Paypal is still not convinced, it will send a little electronic PIN number generator to your registered Paypal shipping address, which device you then must use each time that you log into your Paypal account. Crazy but true!

Paypal may also lock up your funds if it wants more verification and if you don't provide it, the funds can remain locked for up to 180 days.

The main reason that ePassporte was shut down was because of it's lack of verification, which came no where near meeting the requirments of the various applicable laws.

Paxum meets the legal requirements going in and up front.

If you are concerned about higher levels of anonymity, hit me up some time on IM and I might be able to help you.

paypal is not giving out international cards either.

I'm not going to go into detail on how your information is secured .. well that would just be stupid to post all that information publicly but ill say this

our servers are secured and have been audited by more than one company and mastercard and our issuing banks feel we are secure.

Just withdraw the same amount of cash with 2 different cards at the same ATM and you will observe huge differences in exchange fees. Some banks/cards offer better rates so I would conclude, issuing banks set the rates.

I got my card around 10 days ago. Today I saw I received some payment so I went to ATM to withdraw the money. I withdrew 450 TL which is normally 305$. I had 330$ at paxum card. 19$ left after withdrew.

So the exchange costed me 6$. If I chose to receive that payment with check it costs 40-42$ / check and it takes 3-4 weeks for bank to process that check. Wire costs me 25-40$ depend on programs.

I don't know how it is for US webmasters but Paxum seems working well for non-us webmasters like me. It is way more practical than alternative payment methods.

A couple of things...

There is an exchange rate set by VISA and MC, but more card program managers, up charge that, like faxxaf mentioned - This should be listed in the terms and conditions.

Regarding SallyRands comments about ATM fees, there are two atms fees, one charged by the card issuers/program manager and one charged by the ATM itself.

Card issuers/program managers cannot control the ATM fee at the actual ATM nor do they share in it.

What Get2PayJared said.

MC/Visa charges a exchange fee which is a little below 1% and have different ways to set the exchange rate but normally is pretty fair.

The issuer of the card have an option to charge a flat fee, a percentage of the transaction, a combination of the two or a flat fee or a percentage of the transaction what ever is higher.

The owner of the ATM can then charge a fee as well, some do some don't, some countries it have to be disclosed in others it don't have to be disclosed.

I get a 2usd fee from paxum plus a 2.3usd fee from the atm, I can only get around 800+ per withdrawal, but that is way cheaper than paying for a bank wire which is 50usd plus bank fees.
So i really cant complain at all

You can withdraw up to $2500 USD a day in one lump sum based on our own limits. Different ATM machines have different withdrawal limits, so you may find a higher limit available on other machines. I'm glad you're enjoying your use of the Paxum card, and thanks for the positive feedback!

We're doing our best to provide a fast and easy way for webmasters to get paid and make payments and access your cash so that you can focus on your business and making money!
