I got bent on Salvia... won't go near the shit now. I like my rides controllable... despite being a very short experience, it was very intense. Had a mind-fuck feel afterwards that lasted hours. I much prefer a lil peyote or DMT in the desert with good company then Salvia ever, ever again.

Mushrooms do tend to bring on the paranoid fear more frequently. They fuck with your head in pretty werid ways. If they aren't fucking with your head majorly, eat more, or eat stronger mushrooms. You can pretty fucking warped on mushrooms, if you can contain the fear..

From what I remember for me the fear tended to be more of a come-on panic that passed relatively quickly before you entered into the trip properly. It wasn't a weed style paranoia/fear about "someone coming", more a phase of fear itself that relaxed into hours hours of absurdity... Although I never really did them in an urban environment (our consensus as small town teens was that it would be a bad thing to be away from nature) and was half as old (ie less shit to worry about). I never had a bad trip or even a half bad trip. There was just an occasional 15 minute fear wave every couple of times we did it. To call mushrooms weird is an understatement. I smoked a small amount once among mixed company, the girl before me was tripping so hard (she was kind of crazy to begin with) and i thought she was going to lose it. She almost made me not want to try it. I did, i'm glad I did it was very intense i felt like my entire body was falling into my chair in some dark black time warp hole or something. Felt so heavy. It felt like hours but was probably 2 minutes and i came out of it. Felt off for the rest of the day.

That was my 2nd attempt, the first was regular leaves burned in a bowl with no effect.. this was in more of a long crack pipe piece and i learned you have to constantly flame it, no cherrying at all and you breath in as much as possible and aim to hold it for 2 minutes. You will forget hot long you held it or when or if you exhaled by the time you realize it has hit you.

Ps. I don't think I would compare any part of this trip to acid or shrooms in any way besides feeling "heavy" or "sinking". If anything it was more similar to whippits/nitrous or coricidin/dxm. I would imagine it would be comparable to ketamine aka special K but I have never tried it so can't say for sure.. just the comparison to "out of body experiences" I have read about from it.

I remember walking down an empty street in the middle of the night screaming at the top of my lungs, unsure whether or not the sounds were thoughts in head, or if I was actually speaking out loud. I was mumbling to myself, and suddenly thought that I could no longer make sounds, that I couldn't actually hear what I thought was coming out of my mouth and that it was just thoughts. It took me probably a good block and a half to realize I was actually screaming out loud random "can you hear me?" "am i making sounds?" Sure as fuck at least one person heard or saw me and was headfucked by it. I fucking love mushrooms...

I don't know if I'd compare it with Ketamine. K is it's own special little brand of fucked up. Probably the absolute weirdest shit I've ever been high on. Kiss perception good fucking bye. Weirdest trip I've ever been on, by far, was a shitload of Ketamine, a few pills of ecstasy. Not so much visually, but the loss of perception is what comes on heavy with K for me. Time starts warping in strange ways, you forget who you are, why you are where you are, what got you there, what existence is, you'll feel yourself drifting away from your body. All this happens in a very startling strange way. You might be scared if you still knew what fear was. Lots of very complex thought getting tossed around in a blank mind. It's not even something I can accurately explain, but I've done a ton of different chems in the day, and I still say Ketamine was by far the strangest experience...

I remember cruising across the dancefloor in this dingy afterhours club when it hit me fucking hard. Something strange came over me and everything slammed to this slow motion crawl, as I looked down my legs seemed to be moving backwards from me like my torso was separating from my limbs. Then I could feel this weird pull as though my torso was sucking backwards towards my limbs, yet my being continued a forward motion. Tracers like fuck in my vision too. Thats about the best I can do to describe what I felt in words, but trust me it does not do the experience justice at all...
