That is still bullshit though, if that was even what the real reason was. If so, then he could have sent people out a notice informing them to fix the dead links etc or they would be removed from the program. Then he should have deleted those sites. BUT that is not what happened, apparently people kept making sales and they just up and decided not to send out the checks.... huge difference.

As I remember admin area properly, there was no option for webmasters to remove dead sites. I tried to do this after one of my domains expired and no help from Cyberage at all.

It's a lame excuse not to pay because CA created this issue for webmasters. In my case, none of my sites were actually listed in their directory and all sales were generated from my own traffic. Cyberage's system is outdated and inefficient if anything at all.

Maybe I should disable access to my members and tell them to charge back?! Looks like a logic course of action.

more like, we are broke and doing what most other companies do before they close down, we stop sending out checks to the affiliate who aren't sending us lots of new sales so we can keep all of their current rebills.

If you currently sending them new sales and they haven't cut you off yet then you would be crazy to keep sending them sales unless if you were on PPS. Why build up a revshare base of customers with a company that has already justified in their heads why to stop paying their affiliates.

Frankly Dave I'd be pissed too. If I were your affiliate for 10 years I too would definitely have a bunch of old pages still up, with old links and banners etc. Probably a lot of forgotten pages as well, it's the nature of the beast when doing this kind of work long-term. I may not promote you guys but I do have several sponsors that I've been promoting for longer than 10 years actually, none of them have cut me off and accused me of abusing their system. Ever. (I dare anyone to try it though)

Adding to what Quiet, Kristen and others have said, if it's not that much money we're talking about then wouldn't it be better and far more beneficial to your company name to at least pay these people out rather than just basically steal their money?

In that case I guess they might consider checking their stats and verifying that they are still receiving hits from them. Then set up an .htaccess redirect for the entry and protected gateway url (especially the protected url) which redirects the customer to a page when the referrer is one of Cybeage's domains which briefly explains what happened and why they are being denied access. You might also put up an instructional encouraging them to initiate a chargeback with their bank if they recently joined for the purpose of visiting your site. Link to a page such as this http://www.ehow.com/list_6302309_pro...hargeback.html or better yet a Youtube video. If you want to make some cash direct them to another AVS with your code as well.

Bonus points: Try to cloak the redirect from any automated bot Cyberage uses if you know how to do this.

If anyone needs some help with a basic .htaccess let me know and I'll post something or email it. you. Happy to help.

according to several people on GFY that is a lie.

Unless if you are playing the semantics game, where you remove people from being an affiliate first and then not pay them. In that case the person is no longer an affiliate so your statement " we never stopped paying affiliates would be true".

are you playing the semantics game, or are the several people posting here who claim to be an affiliate and haven't been paid are lieing ???

Reminds me of those family members of Chris Mallick that started emailing the owners of those anti-Mallick sites to find out if Chris had already paid back what he stole.

The fact is:

1. many legitimate webmasters have not been paid for MANY months! (some are personal friends of mine and explained to me in detail about your non paying and no replying)

2. you said yourself, that you will discontinue paying affiliates that had dead links, didn't update much etc

basically you are trying to defend a reason that isn't there, and sounding like more of a lying, scamming asshole

Dave, if you terminate an account because "someone hasn't updated his sites enough" do you still pay him what he earned before you terminated his account?

What has updating the page EVER had anything to do with anything.

Lets make that a new rule. That should eliminate some competition.

Either you pay out honestly on all rebills or you dont unless it is in the terms. Now I guess you could just chg terms. Cause that is always allowed.

So in the end it comes down to company on company - man o on man o - o shitlist avoido

BTW, good spot to mention, again, (and again)..

Perfect Gonzo paid me my $40 after they closed. (upon request, they had a $100 min) This was for anyone who requested payment.

Very class act people who will always have my respect and a good word at times like this.

Then why have multiple people across multiple boards claimed they simply couldn't login one day, got no explanation from you, couldn't get a response by emailing you and were never paid out the earnings in their account? If your partner is the one doing this, are you fully aware of the extent of his actions?

With that being said there are two sides to every..

So although I smell someone may be keeping someone's recurrings, I dont know for sure and wish no ill will towards Dave, his prog and friends. (and there are many including me)

But I get riled up when I see someone keeping someone's rebills. That would be cardinal rule #1 you dont break from my perspective.

There are tons of progs now days who are being honest to their affils and who are not selling anymore but who are paying rebills right on time.

Shame they never get their glory. But they do remain viable in mine and a thousand other affil's eyes.

Thank goodness for the affiliate pit bulls around here who do investigate new progs and make sure they arent old scammers.

This whole "lets just keep the rebills" is not going to fly without major flack being shot up.

Nice name change Dave, looks like his partner bought him out or he had a falling out and is no longer associated with Cyberage. This is probably why he doesn't want to take any responsibility for the affiliates who didn't get paid.

And "For the Record" this is video shot by "Semi-Retired-Dave" of Nelly posing in his cars for a photo shoot for some magazine. This is the lifestyle everyone who is not getting paid is supporting.

Ethersync, you expose a man's family blog with pictures of his wife and kids on an adult message forum called GO FUCK YOURSELF and include a snide remarks about, what is his and her personal business and now you act as if you're the "bigger man".

Business aside, I don't see how any of you (with or without families) can blame Dave for his reaction to what I would consider a VERY personal attack.

"Semi-Retired Dave" are you kidding me???

Sounds like you have been fired or kicked out the company. Apparently the other owner has a lot more ownership than you do.

Why would you change your sig and your name because you are "semi retired". Why would you disappear for 2 months then pop back up and start distancing yourself from the company you claim to own.

Business aside, I don't see how any of you (with or without families) can blame Dave for his reaction to what I would consider a VERY personal attack.
A personal attack? He has posted pictures of his trophy wife here many times. Linking to a public blog referencing a recent post he made where he talks about how he is investing in film projects now (how Mallickesque) while he has disappeared from GFY, is not replying to emails and CyberAge has been blocking affiliates from accessing their accounts and not sending them checks. Yeah, Dave is a victim here. Poor Dave goes AlienQ crazy because I linked to his fucking blog. Disregard the people he has admitted to fucking over.

Your original post was deleted by admin, that alone should tell you something. Again, we're not talking about business here. Let's see if you are capable of separating the two.

I would like to again say my comments are more in general to ANYONE who keeps ANYONES rebills.

I have no axe with Dave, in fact I have never known a bad Dave or Bob. (as the song sort of goes)

Just that the reasons given by Dave for keeping the rebills seems preposterous to me and hey this is business. And I can't sit back and let fellow affils get fried for reasons like these.

I realize dragging the car in is not biz and sorry, got caught up.

I just want everyone to pay your rebills. (insert TeenCat smiley gif)

But these reasons are not good reasons to keep someones rebills. Rebills are the ONLY reason most of us are even here today.

So hey, (to everyone, not Dave) dont touch the rebills. Comprende? Please Thank you.

If you cant get my email, please dont pull my plug.

This is supposed to be a biz board, yes. But Dave got personal here so that's what happens. If he wasn't such a popular guy on here showing off it would be different.

So goes the gfy internets.

It's not an invasion of his privacy. Dave has posted photos his cars here before. The back of the Lamborghini says CYBRAGE!

Seriously, look at 3:42 in the video. "CYBRAGE"
