Non Exclusive content 2257 question - GoFuckYourself.com

When we buy non exclusive movies from a content provider with a license to use on our pay membership site, does Content Provider have to give us Model ID and model release and 2257 form or he only need to give us license and address where he keeps 2257?

One of our suppliers says he gives us only license and ID's s but not 2257 and not model release. Is it ok? can we display content with it?

When we sell our content on ClassyContent non exclusively we do supply 2257 form, model release and model ID. same question do we have to supply it?

Please let me know

Docs and IDs always follow content.

There is no difference between primary and secondary producers now.

btw - not saying that this is the case here - but recently i got content from another producer who told me the same. but when i insisted to get the IDs and Modelreleases, I found out that for many actors no releases existed.

I personally would not be interested in buying content if they did not give me the proper documents.

Living in California where earthquakes and fires have happened in the past, as the Custodian of Records, I keep my originals in my office, and exact copies in two separate other locations---just for safety sake!

I buy content as well as produce my own and I would never buy from a company that won't give me doc's and ID's. I buy just one thing first and test the water before I waste money and find out the company is not legit. Their is a lot of good product out there but their are plenty of scammers and shit companies as well. Buyer beware, get your doc's.

You need all documents complete or the content is useless. Always make sure that your own admin is complete.

after Matrix went down i had a couple of people hitting me up cause they needed 2257 docs. obviously Matrix did not provide them automatically with each download. as we all can see, no content producer will be in the biz forever (even though i have no plans to retire soon ;) ), so you better get what you need to protect yourself.
