What did you think of "The Social Network" ?

I thought it was good but needed more of the story .... They could have easily pushed this to a 2:30 movie

I wonder how much of it was "fiction" and which parts were truth..

Overall it was good.

Overall I though it was a great movie. My GF liked it too, and she's not into computers at all.

Most of it seems to be true, btw.

I liked it, but it was not as good as everyone thought.

I have no idea how this movie got so big... Just the hype I guess.

It was not that great, but it was good.

I thought the kid playing Zuck did a good job.

The movie was overrated, and dragged ass at different times lacking real substance.

Overall, it was an entertaining use of 2 hours. I go to the theater and watch 8 of 10 movies that come out. I can honestly say, for me, it was one of the better movies of the past year I've seen and liked.

Most I would never watch again.

Great movie and my first thought was the same. Feels like they shortened a movie that was 3 hrs. Or should have been

I liked the movie really enjoyed the mix of tech and drama but not sure how much is true. Only thing i would say about the story is that when Mark says he will work on the site for the twins and takes there idea of "exclusive" he should have said straight up and not waited months as i am sure he still would have beaten them to market! Made me think less of him when really the story makes you get behind him and will him to make it a success!

Nice to see that we sometimes cheat our friends with out having the real perception of it.

Loved!! the scenes from the twins on Europe, in the river.

It was alright. What surprises me is all the awards it's getting nominated for. No way does it deserve all those, or a bad reflection on the rest of the years film productions.

Without he true element it would never of made it.

Eva fell asleep watching it. I think a lot of it's appeal was from geeks and people who use social network sites.

Mind you the guy who played Zuck, was very good. Wanted to punch him on the nose at the end. Came across as a real loser in life who came up with a better way to use someone else's ideas.

Its not being nominated because the movie itself was done amazingly. Its the fact that it hit a wide audience and was done pretty well also.

It's a movie about something that almost everybody uses daily and there was a decent story behind it. And its something that alot of people were interested in.

That's all. It deserves to win awards and be nominated. The acting was good. They had a great idea of making a movie about something that hits a very large audience. I am very glad they did. I was more interested in seeing the story behind it than any other movies lately.

If awards were simply about how complex and well done a movie was, all nominees would be completely different.

I watch a lot of films and i enjoyed this one very much. Agreed, I think it could gone a little further... but the pacing, acting, and dialog were great. The soundtrack kicks ass.

with that logic The Net and The Phantom Menace were the best movies of all time.. both popular subject matter, both complex beyond words... The truth is you like it, but you have unique tastes. Movies that get nominated appeal to larger numbers.

I didn't like it because the characters were contrived and despicable, i mean ALL of them so I don't even understand the appeal myself. With that being said it did have elements of a good movie. There were scenes that were well done, as someone mentioned earlier the twins in europe with their race and them realizing they have been punked intertwined with that peer gynt classic was a fantastic scene, but there wasn't a lot of other scenes that stood out and it was a mish mash and lost track as soon as the rock star showed up (napster douchebag)

I understand why this has a bit of a cult following, but it really isn't anything beyond that.

It is purely entertainment.

Read The Facebook Effect if you want to know what Facebook is all about and how it got to where it is today. It discusses the twins claims, as well as those of others, but cannot and does not answer the famous question of who invented Facebook.

tbh it didn't seem like a 2 hr movie like other lengthy movies that drag on n on...maybe cause I guess there was some sort of "connection" with the movie n shit like that.. hell I sat through Middle Men at the theater with my bro for less than 90 min
