CamSense / CamContacts payouts

Anybody had a payout processed by CamSense today?

As soon as the payout period closes they normally show the payout as pending, but nothing so far today, let alone confirmation of any bank transfers and the money would often be in my account by now.

No need to panic of course, but they're usually very reliable...

Hmm, well it's starting to look like they have missed payouts today. No reply to my emails either.

I was wondering too, I don't keep an eye on absolute time frames but something did seem a little "amiss" today when I checked stats. Prior payments show as being paid the monday right after the period ends.

It would be early-mid afternoon monday camsense time right now, still no payment showing. Possibly a bank holiday?

It's early afternoon Tuesday, CamSense time

I had an email from them this morning saying "There was a few hours delay in our payments yesterday" but it seems that delay is still ongoing. The stats area still doesn't show any pending payouts.

They do say payments should be made today though. We shall see.

They're now saying it's an "on-going tech issue".

Hmm...

I'm now showing a payment too. There's no wire reference yet, is that what you mean by pending?

Are you a chat host or affiliate? (or both?). Have you noticed sales tanking the past couple of months?

Yes, that's what I mean by pending

I'm an affiliate. My cam sales are down about 16% quarter-on-quarter, but up 140% compared to the same period a year ago, which is probably the more useful comparison.

Now being told that the problem preventing payouts hasn't been fixed yet.

Check their TOS, they don't pay recuring if you don't send enough new customers each month. Few K gone here due to this change.

Can confirm I'm seeing a payment ref for my latest payment.

Is camsense actually going to let affiliates know there was a problem?...

I originally posted this thread when it became clear payments weren't being made on Monday to try and see if it was just me being affected or if anyone else had noticed a problem. This was before I had heard from you on Tuesday.

As I've heard from you, I've updated here.

How late were the payments exactly? I checked back over my statement and my payment typically arrives Tuesday (Australia time) which would mean, assuming it is sent during business hours (camsense time - I'm assuming you're in EU somewhere) on Monday that the wire takes 24 hours or less.

It's been nearly two full business days here (around 36h absolute) since I noticed the pending payment on my account, but there's still no wire received...

Payments are done on monday/tuesday for each payment period.
This one was done yesterday (wednesday)
Your wire is on its way.
If you want me to confirm with more details about your wire, you will need to give me your ID and the email you want that confirmation sent to.

When I say "tanking" I mean it literally.

A year or two ago I was making hundreds or sometimes $1000+ worth of gross sales per day.

This period, in 4 days, I have made $57.71 worth of gross sales. It's almost not worth asking about where my payment is...

There's been a steady decline overall, but an incredibly sharp drop within the past few periods. A couple of payouts ago was the lowest earned since 2006. $0.00 earning days used to be unusual but they seem to be becoming a lot more common now.

So *shrug* who knows what happens. I guess I had some whales that have dropped off.

Ok, confirming payment HAS arrived!

I still think camsense should have been a bit more proactive with telling affiliates there was a problem/delay (or even doing some post-event damage control and making it clear that whatever problem happened has been addressed), but at least it's here now.

DVTimes, there's no point dropping CamSense if you're actively promoting them because you're needlessly throwing away rebills. For that reason, last year's changes in their T&C are an incentive to keep promoting them, not a reason to drop them.

That is of course assuming you get paid, which, as I post this, I haven't been.

I'm aware of those conditions, but they've never notified me that they're unhappy with my level of new registrations. I don't think that's the reason that things have gone downhill.

Having said that, my gross sales amount for this period went from $57 to $365 only a few hours later, lol. But I'm not counting my chickens... it's still well below what it would normally be.

its interesting how they simply ignore it.

Quote:
Dear **********,

Thank you for contacting us.

Under the new CamSense Terms & Conditions (Effective Date: December 1, 2009) in order to continue receiving payments from CamSense, a person must either have a CamSense account that complies with the minimum traffic requirements i.e. to deliver at least 5 qualified spenders per month; or chathost account that complies with the "active chathost" requirement of conducting at least one live session in a 60-day period.

Please be aware that the new CamSense Terms & Conditions were implemented on December 1, 2009. Every affiliate received an email detailing the changes on December 1, the announcement was posted on CamSense News Section and the terms were posted on the Camsense site on the same day. You will note that the new terms clearly state that CamSense has the option to discontinue the payouts for your referred visitors who have become qualified spenders on a CC Network site upon your failure to meet the criteria for an Active Affiliate over a two (2) month period.
Please read full Terms and Conditions here: http://camsense.com/termsandconditions.html

There have been too many cases in which affiliates have not been actively working to send new traffic to our sites for months, in some cases years, and have still been collecting commissions on past spenders. Meanwhile, there are other affiliates who have been working hard to deliver new traffic to our sites each month. These partners are much more invested in the current success of our business, and it is those affiliates that we want to ensure are rewarded for their efforts.

For the last 60 days you delivered 1 spender to CC Network sites . Unfortunately this means that currently your account doesn't meet CamSense requirements and you forfeit the commissions from the lifetime revenue of past spenders.

Please keep in mind that your CamSense account is not being closed.
Lifetime commissions (on new spenders only) will be reinstated right after you regain Active Affiliate status i.e. deliver at least 5 qualified spenders per month to a CC Network site.

We thank you for your efforts over the years and sincerely hope that you return to active status so that we may continue our work together.

Best Regards,

Your opinion isn't based in logic though. I make decent money with them so, assuming I get paid, what possible reason is there to stop promoting them?

If you don't send 5 new qualified spenders a month, will you still keep your existing referred spenders?

That's up to CamSense, but I would have thought that if someone is still sending traffic, even if it isn't delivering the required number of spenders, they would be short-sighted to pull rebills.

Even so, I don't agree with that policy at all, especially it being imposed on existing affiliates, but it's no reason in and of itself to stop promoting them if you're making money.

OK, I'll rephrase.

1. You have sent 10 spenders to CamSense for the revshare program.
2. Your commission for these 10 spenders for the month of February is $1000 USD.
3. You do not send 5 new qualified spenders for the month of February.
4. According to CamSense Terms, you do not receive any commission unless you send 5 new qualified spenders per month.
5. Your CamSense payment for the month of February is $0 USD.

Check this out.

I send traffic to CamSense. That traffic generates money. CamSense changes Terms. CamSense takes my money. That is plain theft.

Any sponsors can change Terms, no problems. Pay affiliates what they have earned and stop doing business afterwards.

It's amazing how companies can do whatever they wish in this industry and CamSense takes it to the next level, they also show on boards promoting their products.

Any sponsors can change Terms, no problems. Pay affiliates what they have earned and stop doing business afterwards.

It's amazing how companies can do whatever they wish in this industry and CamSense takes it to the next level, they also show on boards promoting their products.
