Cheapest domains with whois from reputable registrar?

Who is the cheapest, reputable registrar for .com and .net with whois added on, at the moment?

Anybody got some good deals lately?

whois? whois privacy?

the cheapest depends on how many domains you've got and are planning to register.

That is cheap straight out the box. I wonder what they'll do for bulk registration/transfer.

Any idea how much they charge for 'Full Private Whois'?

Thanks I see it now. There is a bit in the T&C's which talks about 2 different levels of Whois Privacy. I thought maybe only the partial one was free and you had to pay a fee for the full one.

NameCheap is good overall, but beware they are predominantly an eNom reseller. And hence eNom's policies, including the eNom / LegitScript partnership, applies to most NameCheap registered / managed domains too.

Is Namecheap doing something wrong here with LegitScript.com ?
http://www.namepros.com/legal-issues...gitscript.html

Beware: eNom and NameCheap Suspend domains based on bogus claims by a fake company (referring again to LegitScript.com)
http://www.namepros.com/warnings-and...ins-based.html

A backgrounder on LegitScript.com from a GFY perspective:
http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=995152

In short, NameCheap heavily utilizes eNom for new registrations and transfer-ins. It's highly likely when using NameCheap, you would actually be an eNom customer!

Having your domains, in effect, with eNom may be risky depending on the nature of your websites and the level of privacy and security you desire. There are many other better registrar choices, such as the off-shore one mentioned several times above.

Nope, you can either choose the full blown whois privacy, or you can choose to have your name show as the owner with their privacy info. Either way, it's free

This is like the 4th time you've copy/pasted this on gfy. I'm not saying this isn't an issue if you have pharmacy websites but the issue is with Enom, not namecheap. Namecheap actually got them to implement a 10 day period where you can transfer your domain instead of just having it suspended. I don't think they like the Legitscript policy any more than you do.

LegitScript is the tip of the iceberg - a warning.

eNom (to reiterate for those just coming into this thread, most NameCheap customers are really eNom customers) does not respect the rights and needs of registrants.

With that said, I too give kudos to NameCheap negotiating a 10 day grace period with eNom regarding LegitScript problems ...

But the bigger issue still remains ... NameCheap put its customers at undue risk by continuing to use eNom.

If NameCheap, which itself is ICANN accredited, truly valued the safety and security of its customers, they would break ties with eNom.
