Another Adult Tube Lawsuit - EmpFlix and TnAFlix Sued by Private Media Group

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa ? Private Media Group filed suit Thursday at US District Court in Cedar Rapids against two of the largest porn tube sites ? EmpFlix.com and TnAFlix.com ? claiming its operator is illegally streaming 75 of its videos.

According to a story reported on www.xbiz.com, YoungTek Solutions Ltd., which owns the pair of tube sites named in the suit, is a Cyprus-based company that also was sued last year by adult company Corbin Fisher, which claims 104 videos were been poached for TnAflix.com. Earlier this month, the Corbin Fisher suit was settled and the complaint was dismissed.

Private's copyright suit names as defendants YoungTek and 100 John Does, as well as 100 John Doe companies, presumably YoungTek's business partners or advertisers. It seeks $150,000 for each alleged infringement, as well as an injunction among other forms of relief.

Private says that the tube sites are powerhouses in the biz, with EmpFlix.com attracting 1.5 million surfers a day and TnAflix.com attracting 3 million, and that YoungTek generates "annual revenue estimated in tens of millions of dollars."

Seems to be a growing trend...

Speaking about adapting or die,i see more and more long video tube sites shut down or changing site style due to lack in profit.As i said before,it doesn't matter what kind of site you have,it is matter what is your traffic source.

Before you rejoice champ, you may want to pick up a copy of XBIZ, for almost any month in the past 18 months. It seems that every month's issue there is a new one of these filed lawsuits or claims with some tube site.

Almost all of these lawsuits are settled, dropped, or dismissed and rare if ever go to court.

yes the long play tube model will fail sooner than later. its more like the snake eating itself, there are only so many sources of traffic and viable products to sell on such sites.

saturation is already happening and these sites are rapidly losing more money than they are making.

add to that the mounting legal wars against the illegal tube sites and you have the perfect storm.

of course its always those with vested interest or those who simply have no ethics in business who bark here the hardest for illegal tubes, torrents etc. sad really.

You really have no idea what you're talking about.

I personally know more than one VERY large tube site owner. They aren't losing money, they're making money hand over fist. Here's the part that's really going to blow your mind though: The majority of the income is from selling memberships, not dating or cams.

This I KNOW to be true first hand. Feel free to continue believing what you think is the truth though.

Nothing, if you have the right lawyer.

The only time I ever sued for anything the lawyer did it "pro-bono".
If a good lawyer sees that you have a strong case then they start counting
their own money and prefer a pro bono case because they keep 30% of
the settlement for their fees.

Example: you pay a lawyer $10k on a case and you win 100k settlement;
that lawyer is like "shit, lost 20k by not doing it pro-bono".

Also, if a lawyer knows that he is crappy then he will never take your case for
free because he knows he is going to lose anyway.

What you're actually talking about is a lawyer taking a case on a contingency. The result is they get a percentage of your winnings.

In the future, if you're going to play expert, try to at least have a basic understanding of what you're taking about.

If you want your customer to buy the hot dog, let him smell it or at most take a small nibble, but for fuckssakes don't let him eat it.
