Who do you think is behind Paxum attack?

Paxum has been under DoS attack for a few days now. Their website is down and users are unable to use the sytem.

Who do you think is attacking them? Competitor service? Trolls and haters? Someone else?

It's Chris Mallick, he doesn't like Epass competition.

probably all the fraudsters that were denied the authentication process, since epassporte was easier to scam, paxum has taken a stand from the get go on authenticating users.

Paxum has been VERY pro-active in blocking scammers and carders, so I'm going to bet its them.

i noticed a bit back alot of paxum accounts in lists of fraudulant affiliates carding programs.

When the same thing happened with epassporte , epass never would shut down the scammers, even when people had their accounts completely wiped out by scammers they wouldn't even suspend the fraud accounts.

I am thinking paxum may have started investigating/closing accounts that multiple sponsors flagged as carding/scammers, because they have a closer relationship to program owners than epass did, and prob realize closing down the scammers makes paxum a more viable payment solution.

in a nutshell , disgruntled carders with a bunch of ill gotten gains in an account , hoping paxum will give it back..

NOTE TO PAXUM --- no need to post details here but it would be nice to have a system where when one program flags a carding affiliate , paxum lets other sponsors whom pay the same affiliate know there may be a problem. kind of like a trust rating, you warn programs when they are paying users with a low trust rating

paxum is more on the ball and more legit than epass ever was which unfortunately invites problems with douchebags like the jerkoffs screwing with them now.

i really hope they can trounce this attack quickly because i for one would like to continue using them.

I could not sign up to paxum because I have an extension sticker on the back of my driver's license. When I tried to send a copy of both sides, they said they only take the front and denied my account.

+1 Would be good tool and a chance for Paxum to work closer with sponsors. Should look into that.

thing i like about paxum is the atm limits, nothing like epass. this way i dont have to make 4-5 trips to get my payment.

also the fact the people working there are always around, trying to get a hold of someone at epass was like waiting for pigs to fly.

Thanks for the suggestion Smokey! We are already working on a system similar to this actually. We discussed this (and other methods to combat fraud) with various sponsors during Internext in January and we're working on a very versatile system that would rate users and give anyone making a payment a score, much like a credit score, which would be very useful in determining whether some users are fraudulent or not.

They are already working on it as mentioned by Ruth, but I think even if instead of simply using your email for payouts if they added the requirement of listing your country as well because alot of the Vietnam and Pakistan scammers put US, Canada, or UK addresses but then with Paxum they verify to their real country.

I would have thought Philippines would have been on that list. I've been hearing a lot of chatter with problems there.

Seems he copied that list from this site:

That site is a joke and not reliable at all.

Not sure that the Canadian Gov and Banks will approve of that in any way. Privacy is to protected here. Unless of course the lawyers have said differently but I doubt it, it's pretty cut and dry here, I can't see BoM being part of it or the gov allowing it in any way.

From a user point of view (a legitimate one), I don't think "Joe Blow" from "Sponsor Company A" should be told ANYTHING about my current payments, withdrawls etc, it's none of his business.
