Takedown Piracy Develops Custom Tool Capable of Removing 100,000 Piracy Infringements in 24 Hours

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Takedown Piracy Develops Custom Tool Capable of Removing 100,000 Piracy Infringements in 24 Hours

Progressive, Outside-the-Box Thinking Powers Leading Anti-Piracy Service?s Elimination of Over 2.3 Million Infringements!

March 31, 2011 --- MARINA DEL REY, Calif. --- Anti-piracy leader Takedown Piracy (TDP) announces the development of its patent-pending, custom tool, The Aikido Program. The tool is capable of removing up to 100,000 copyright infringements in only 24-hours. The Aikido Program is exclusive only to TDP and uses a PHP script to exploit a large piracy aggregation site. It takes a site meant to assist in piracy and transforms it into a valuable asset in anti-piracy. Progressive, outside-the-box thinking is why TDP is the most demanded anti-piracy service in adult entertainment, eliminating over 2.3 million copyright infringements as of the end of March. Owner Nate Glass says, ?I named this amazing tool the Aikido Program after the martial art using the power of one?s opponent against them. After all, this is a fight the adult industry is engaged in, and we need to create alternative methods of battle in order to survive.?

For more information about Takedown Piracy or to request its unrivaled services, visit www.TakedownPiracy.com.

The Aikido Program targets a cyberlocker aggregator. Cyberlockers are online storage sites that offer financial incentives for pirates to become copyright infringers. Because there is a financial motivation attached, this type of pirate does not want to hide; it wants its uploads to be as visible as possible. To do this, it spreads its uploads over hundreds of websites at once. This gives rise to sites functioning as aggregators of piracy sites. While these sites might seem to be a huge problem for copyright holders, in actuality, they perform a valuable service by containing huge numbers of infringements in one place. With this knowledge, Takedown Piracy enlisted a software programmer to build a custom PHP script allowing the extraction of large numbers of results from the most trafficked cyberlocker aggregators, all while maintaining anonymity in the process.

?Companies want to see every piracy site destroyed, but realistically, piracy is never going to go completely away,? says Glass. ?While it may seem counter intuitive, sometimes the pirates themselves can be a great asset. The Aikido Program turns their own power against them.?

The result of the Aikido Program is a proportionally huge number of infringements removed. For one of Takedown Piracy?s larger adult studio clients, over 100,000 infringements were terminated in merely 24 hours. Medium sized studios using TDP experienced between 25,000 and 30,000 infringements eliminated in only a few hours.

Glass adds, ?It was important to me the Aikido Program not be a one-time shot. I had the programmer build out the script in a way allowing for repeat actions, which aren?t redundant. This turns top piracy sites into valuable assets for my clients.?

Takedown Piracy actively tracks at least nine different ways content may be pirated, providing widespread coverage. Takedown Piracy offers protection in the following areas: Cyberlocker sites like Rapidshare, Torrent sites, Tube sites, Auctioned or unauthorized DVD resellers, Search Engines, Image Hosts, Blogs, Forums, Social Media.

To view a statistical breakdown of infringements removed by Takedown Piracy, visit http://takedownpiracy.com/stats/.

About Takedown Piracy:
Takedown Piracy (TDP) is an anti-piracy service started in April of 2009. The service was founded by adult industry veteran Nate Glass, who has been in the adult industry for over 13 years. TDP offers copyright holders an affordable and highly effective means to fight back against content thieves. For less than the cost of a part-time, minimum wage worker, copyright holders can benefit from Glass? expertise and passion for protecting copyrighted content from thieves. To date, TDP has removed over 2.3 million content infringements. 200 piracy websites are closely monitored to always provide clients with immediate service and protection. Every month detailed reports are provided to clients with each action taken on their behalf. A price can?t be placed on trust, but with Takedown Piracy, clients can be sure the company has their best interest in mind 100% of the time. For more information, visit www.TakedownPiracy.com.

sending out DMCA notifications doesn't equate to removing them in 24 hours - Megaupload takes forever, Oron takes forever

how much does this service cost per site?

Most, if not all, cyberlockers are within 24 hours. Oron is really the exception. I've never had a Megaupload take more than a day. Megaupload isn't as popular with the UPLOADERS because the payouts can't compete with what Fileserve and Filesonic offer. DOWNLOADERS love MU but not the uppers. Oron is a sham outfit that's throwing a lot of money around right now (buying PornBB.org) but the downloaders still hate the service.

I get responses from Oron within 24 hours, but they do require a phone number in the DMCA notice. I get the longest responses from imagevenue and imagebam. (This is in regards to my own content).

So Oron owns PornBB now? interesting. Where are they based out of? That should be implication enough that they intend on profiting directly from piracy for the courts...

Oron seems to be run by a young 17-year-old Russian-speaking guy (soon 18) living in Hannover, Germany. Birthdate April 14, 1993. Languages: Russian, German, English and Spanish

http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&h...f9bf7f64efb33f

On the PornBB he (Oron's owner) goes by the name Gerda17, which he has also used as a password in some MD5 file found somewhere else. Maybe a secret love of his?

The person

The premises

Interesting Gmail accounts to search for: parado, hauptmail, nooooc

Those of you living in Germany could contact this place? If you believe Oron to commit something illegal

Of course the PornBB user Gerda17 posted links to files hosted on oron.com!

Translation: Oron's owner uploads stolen materials himself to Oron.

No DMCA safe harbour (they are based in the EU so DMCA doesn't apply anyway)

http://takedownpiracy.com/f-a-q-freq...ked-questions/

F.A.Q. Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ:

Q. What is the cost of the Takedown Piracy service?
A. Standard monthly rates vary depending on the size of your studio and the breadth and scope of your piracy problem. Other services often charge 3 to 4 times as much. Our system was developed with the goal of minimal costs involved so that we can offer a rate that makes sense for all studios both large and small.

Q. Why is your rate so low?
A. Our low rate should send you two messages. One, is that we’re not trying to get rich off your plight. We want to solve this problem and get you back into the business of making money. Secondly, with a low rate like this, it should be a no-brainer to you and every other content owner. We believe with widespread cooperation, our industry can get on top of this problem. We realize it’s hard to get studios to work together, so we’re setting ourselves up to be the proxy that brings everyone together.

Q. Do I have to sign up for a long-term contract?
A. No. There is no set number of months you have to be a customer. You can opt out at any time.

Q. How do I know you’re actually doing anything for me?
A. We BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) you (the client) on ALL DMCA notices we send on your behalf. That way you can verify the infringements we’re reporting are real and you can see the volume of work that we are doing for you. In addition to that, once a month we send you a report detailing the total amount of infringements removed on your behalf. That report will have a detailed breakdown showing you the types of infringements we’ve removed for you. We also keep a more detailed spreadsheet available to you upon request, this file can get to be pretty large, so we don’t email it to you by default.

Q. If I or my employees find our content somewhere, can we report that to you and you take care of it?
A. Absolutely, we try to be as prompt as possible in responding to anything you report to us. We know this makes you look good in your fans and customer’s eyes and we love making you look good.

Q. Can you provide me with evidence of my content being infringed?
A. We can provide you with screenshots of the URLs which we’re having removed. However, this is not something that can be done quickly and it can results in 10s of 1000s of screenshots that we have to create and store for you. For this reason, we ask that you only request this option if you are serious about bringing litigation. Not for anecdotal curiousity reasons.

Q. Piracy seems pretty rampant, why even try?
A. Piracy is rampant and can often seem like you’re playing Whack-A-Mole. However, in this case you’re not just hitting the moles with rubber mallets but we’re dropping napalm bombs on the whole field. Part of the success of piracy sites can be attributed to them offering a superior surfing experience for users. Our industry largely brought that upon ourselves, now while our industry cleans up it’s sites and innovates to new distribution models, we will be doing our part to make your content difficult for freeloaders to get their hands on. Frustration is a very valuable tool to use in combating piracy, and we excel at that. We’re in this for the cause of protecting the content you worked hard to create. Good content deserves good protection at a good price. That’s where we come in.

Q. What have you actually accomplished with all this?
A. In addition to removing over 1.6 million copyright infringements, several piracy sites now filter out content from our clients. It’s easier for them to just block all the content from select studios than to address DMCAs from us every day.

Q. You say you only monitor 200 or so sites, why not 100,000?
A. It is our belief that focusing on low traffic sites is a waste of our most precious resource – time. We focus on high value targets. Sites with significant traffic and userbases. Essentially, we go where the pirates go. No service can be everywhere all at once, so you have to choose your battles wisely.

Q. How long does it take to get everything set up?
A. Just a few hours. We’ll get some information from you regarding your content and add that to our system. You’ll start receiving copies of our DMCAs usually that same day.

since your verification of validity is post transaction instead of pre transaction how much malpratice insurance do you provide to cover the cost of bad takedowns.

File hosting (cyberlocker? ) websites are already getting rocked.... I was searching for some pr0n yesterday and all the links had already been taken down. It was bittersweet to say the least.

I think the real problem is that now that piracy has become so huge and so profitable that once file hosting services (cyberlockers ) potentially become completely useless due to services like takedownpiracy, another bigger, better way to pirate will come along and take over.

i just wished that afilliate sites (such as web cam and dating sites) would have a policy not to let sites that host pirated porn remove there account.

if they did it would make it so much harder for tubes and such like to make money.

mabe the easist or best thing to do is send the web cam or dating site a bill for every film thats pirated. after all they are making money from it.

More about Oron's owner.

Since January 2011 he has bought the PornBB board and is also involved with Forumophilia.

One of his many user names is Paradontes. Try to google it.

The Oron/PornBB issue almost deserves its own thread?
