Let me help you straighten out your life... The weather on this planet has been erratic for over a billion years now, it's cycles are so big and so long that people, even scientists, can barely comprehend them. We compensate these unknowns by creating predictions, these predictions are often proven wrong as we are yet to have a full understanding of these cycles, but they keep us content and give us a feeling of comfort thinking we know the answers.

Regarding governments taking over the planet and turning everything into a 1984 nightmare? No. Why? No benefit to anyone. The 'elite' are just people with money who want to keep it, they don't want to rule the world, they just want to chill on yachts, relax with a drink with their friends and travel the world, just like the rest of us. Why would they want differently than you? Of course they want to believe they can control us, they have egos just like we do, but they are just as wrong as we are.

When you get older you are going to start realizing that ALL people are exactly the same. Every year that goes by it will become more apparent.
