How much of your mobile traffic is "non smart phone"?

Ok so this is a kinda little plug but also something to find peoples opinion about as it is an interesting thing as mobile continues to grow.

Previously it was generally accepted that between 4 & 9% of a websites traffic comes froma handheld device and that this figure is going up every day. That much we know.

Any sites working on SEO to generate clicks or has a well known site is likely to be attracting "non smart phone" traffic to their site by default, even if they do not have a mobile version. I want to find out just how much traffic that is from people and what they are doing with it.

Anyone who knows us knows we have a redirect model in place which is pretty different to others ones as we pay per redirect and that price depends on the geo location of the user making the request and the end destination for each user is also different depending on said geo. The difference as far as revs are concerned is that smart phone traffic varies in quality (mainly due to how it is acquired) but feature phone rarely does as options for the user are limited.

If you are sending mobile traffic to an affiliate right now, you might not be making any money at all form the non smartphone traffic and our model could help massively even if the volumes are small.

To give you an idea, "feature phone" CPC's on our network are approximately 4 times higher than wifi or smart phone traffic on average so you can see you don't need a lot of traffic to make decent revenues.

Ben :-)

p.s anyone in here i hurt at the poker tables in phoenix??!! wicked show! ;-)
