Shoot porn serial, need your suggestions...

Here is a question from DeluxeCoin team to all English-speaking users, especially to the Americans:

We are planning to shoot another paysite with Eastern European models (Czech, Russian, Hungarian, Romanian) and want to make it in the form of a feature film, presented as a serial (one set ? one episode). What is the best way to solve the problem of translation? I know that dubbing the moans in porn is considered bad form, so we decided to abandon the idea of dubbing the moans right away.



There are 3 options left:

1) The actors speak their native languages, but with actable intonations and we add professionally translated subtitles. In other words, the Czechs speak Czech, the Hungarians speak Hungarian and the Russians speak Russian, so we get a mixture of European languages crammed with English subtitles.

2) The actors learn the translation of every line and we have English speech performed by the actors, but not by the native speakers. If you want to pick this option, you are most likely to answer one more question ? are you satisfied with the English pronunciation of Czech, Hungarian, Romanian and Russian models who star for the American market (Brazzers, Bangbros, NastyDollars?). Bethink of the pronunciation of Angel Dark, Aletta Ocean, Madison Parker, Cindy Hope, Cherry Jul, Angelika Black. Many of you have seen their scenes. Can you tell that their English pronunciation was offending your ears when you were watching their scenes? Did you feel any discomfort from the non-american speech? Or you were OK with it?

3) The actors speak their native languages, but during the editing, their speech gets replaced with dubbing ? by the native speakers. And we dub only their dialogues, and the moans stay as they are ? performed by the actors and not dubbed.



Please, don?t suggest the fourth option ? to shoot English-speaking models. We are sure to shoot only European models and it is not to be discussed.



So which one of these three options is more appealing for the American users?

Let them speak their native language. It`ll gives your movies originality, they should be Eastern European porn and people in that part barely speak or doesn`t speak English (especially porn models) at all. Giving them a lines of English text to learn is wasting time and effort and at the end of the day this is porn...........

As someone who has shot in Czech from 1998 to 2008 I can tell you the answer.

Only cast girls and guys who can speak good English. All other options will cost sales.

The girls in Czech now tend to speak better English that 10 years ago. So maybe you can find some good ones.

Dubbing well is expensive, sub title on a porn film.

Native speaking.

All compromises.

I have to ask why shoot it in Eastern Europe. Why not the UK? Thats part of Europe. Is it a cost or beauty issue?

Since you are shooting a storyline porn movie I would cast the main roles that require acting and dialog with European models both male and female who can speak good English. Then if there are a few really hot models who cannot speak English and you want to use them as well, have them take roles that require them to utter no more than a sentence or two and write the storyline to accomodate that reality.

You'll find the hardcore models available in Czech have been shot over and over again. There are a few and I can point you in the right directions. Be warned the new good ones don't cum cheap.

Are you guys happy with brazzers/bangbros/nastydollars scenes with euromodels: Angel Dark, Aletta Ocean, Madison Parker, Cindy Hope, Cherry Jul, Angelika Black etc...?
I mean their english skills in that scenes, not sex.

I faced the same problem when I had my own program and we were shooting content. For short scenes, it wasn't an issue because we made the actors say a few words, then a lot of groaning and moaning, some loud music and bam!, the scene was made.

But then we had to do a series called Mr Cuckold, and we faced the same problem as you. In our case, I did this: I wrote the script and dialogues and asked a professional writer to polish it and cut all unnecessary lines. Then tried to find people that could speak at least some English. The ones I found, exception for the role of Mr Cuckold himself (who didn't play any sex act) were pretty lousy, but they learned their lines.

Since the plots were really funny, the accent added an element of humor and our fans didn't care at all, some of them really like it. And by the way, we let our members know the action was shot in Argentina, so they kinda knew what to expect and I think it also added some exotic taste to the package
