Ask the French, when governments shit on the people, the people take to the streets. Sometimes, followed by the guillotine on a caisson ...

I have yet to hear from a lady friend of mine in Cairo. If and when I do, I will relay any info on the real situation in Cairo.

U.S. quite happy to keep an autocratic douchebag (Mubarak) in power for decades to serve their interests. Funny how when this shit went down a few days ago, Hillary Hoe comes out and says "yes egypt needs reform" fucking lame lying sack of shit.

The U.S. will continue to lose traction with their puppet governments as these are no longer viable. They were toppled in South America with great success (with the exception of Colombia) and they will continue to be overthrown until there is societal equilibrium.

Look around at other Muslim countries to see what the norm is. The only one in the Middle East that has any form of democracy is Iraq. And it took an illegal invasion and the killing of 1,000s to achieve it. Yet even today they continue to bomb, kill and maim each other.

The army runs the show in Egypt and they will decide the new leader. And the US and the rest of the World will suck up to him.

What I wonder is why we are giving Egypt billions in aid? Man I wish we would just get out of other countries business. If there is a huge humanitarian thing like an earthquake or flooding I can understand. I just don't get these ongoing handouts when our country is broke.

Don't know where you are getting that idea from, the U.S. has been keeping Mubarak in power since Reagan was president, but now "the corporation's boiling over and everybody's taking over" so to speak..

Gotta love how the US government has nothing to say about this. The Egyptian military is turning on its own people and there are no words of support for the suppressed people. The silence speaks volumes on who are and what our fearless leaders believe.

PS. Leaders of the free world....MY ASS!

No consipiracy here, the U.S. has kept the Mubarak regime in power for 30 years.
The Mubarak autocracy (funny how U.S. supports these totalitarian regimes) has failed and the people have had enough.

It is no longer a problem of the U.S. They have lost control and they are spread far to thin to really do anything about it, which is a good thing.

Btw, the money or "aid" you describe doesn't do shit for the citizens, and they don't ask for it. In this case Mubarak has demanded it all these years to keep himself and his cronies flush while he agrees to be a good U.S. lap dog.

Just so you know-
"Autocracy and totalitarianism are orthogonal (intersecting, mutually independent) concepts. Autocracy is defined by one individual having unlimited power, while totalitarianism extends to regulating every aspect of public and private life. Totalitarianism does not imply a single ruler, but extends to include absolute rule by any faction or class of elites who recognize no limit to their authority."

You can find this anywhere, Muburak is an autocrat and his government backed by the U.S. has been functioning as an autocracy for 30 years. Minor modifications and insert totalitarianism.

Quote:
Lost control of what? A broke government that has no viable exports to the US. Common sorry to break this to you but Egypt was a useful Arab alley at one time. But times change and we have many plus our own presence
This isn't about viable exports, this is about strategic CONTROL of the middle east.

Quote:
That is straight out BS. I truly wish we did not give billions in farm and agricultural aid/supplies and kept the 28 billion for US schools to be honest.
Interesting, you keep referring to "we" as if you believe your government actually represents you?

Be careful not to fall for the official story on these so-called "suicide bomber" attacks in muslim areas. In the local areas they know the truth, it's only by the time that it reaches the Western media that the story has been made into a fairy tale of a crazy muslim walking into a mosque full of fellow muslims and blowing them all up.

These explosions are to justify our occupation. Suicide bombers are a very convenient story as there's no one to arrest and no further investigation into who was behind it.

Sometimes they get caught out; on this occasion it was the SAS dressed as arabs "performing an official duty" http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/20...nt_3514065.htm

Quote:
BAGHDAD, Sept. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- Iraqi police detained two British soldiers in civilian clothes in the southern city Basra for firing on a police station on Monday, police said.

"Two persons wearing Arab uniforms opened fire at a police station in Basra. A police patrol followed the attackers and captured them to discover they were two British soldiers," an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua.

The two soldiers were using a civilian car packed with explosives, the source said.

The British forces informed the Iraqi authorities that the two soldiers were performing an official duty, the source said. British military authorities said they could not confirm the incident but investigations were underway.
