Anyone still use Adwords with adult? Advice + help needed

So I've been doing AW with adult traffic since roughly 2004 with mainly one program, but looking to change due to declining ratios + ROI. I know this is in large part to the over-saturation of porn reducing ratios across the board, and possibly the same with my ads.

I'd like a fresh start with a new place that has a proven track record with solid ratios from targeted SE hits. I'm not really asking reps to pump their product, I'm more looking for someone who has experience using AW with a specific company.

I know it's very rare for people to give away bread and butter, so I'm not even remotely asking the niche, but more of a generalized "Hey man, I am successful with Adwords with this company, but can't tell you the sites, good luck". Because you rarely see porn with google ads any more, I'm not really expecting much, but with negative ROI from my current program, this is more of a desperation attempt.

note:
This isn't really restricted to adult either actually. I'd be more than willing to go into mainstream if I had a clue of what to promote with AW that won't cost me $1+ per click. I don't even know a general category that works well with PPC. Downloadable software, actual products, low payout high volume e-mail requests, etc. With porn it's at least easy for the most part, sell memberships to x niche.

Any mainstream advice would be fantastic.

Thanks!

Selling people a dream, a lottery ticket, a chance is still functioning as it always has.

Even if people know they're probably not going to be able to have a work-at-home for $3000 a month job, they for some reason can't resist the temptation about buying such an info packet for say $29.99, $14.95, $9.85 or whatever. And what you sell them, is the info packet, how to apply, where to go and so on. All about the marketing, if it's tempting enough, people will think that even if they'll probably not going to win or use it, they still want to pay $15 or whatever to find out more. It works great for mainstream becaus epeople are simply curious.

Sell a dream to people.

Drum up a website, tell them about something fantastic. They will partly think of it as a scam and partly get curious. Market it hard via adwords and you will make sales, whatever it is you're selling.
