Sure, find out what makes money, and be another hack doing it.

Why not do what you love, and see if you can make money from it?

We own a collection of Printing Industry sites, focusing on the market for big ticket printing machinery. They do well for us.

I do ticket sales via TicketMaster or TicketNetwork programs and do all right. I was doing really well when StubHub had their affiliate program, but they dropped it last year. I also do area rugs, but its a tough racket to get into.

Not just sites, but services. Monthly memberships for mainstream sites make good money if you OWN the site, if your promoting them. Good luck.. lol

Looks like this guy is doing well http://www.smartpassiveincome.com/

The forumla is to create a site telling everyone you make loads of money in mainstream; then eventually it becomes self-fullilling

To be fair to this guy, he's a good writer and does make some very good points

We make and distro life energy products. Most of our business comes from trade shows, which bleeds over to online sales.

As an affiliate, I run a local golf site. While it isn't paying for any new cars, it earns enough to pay for my golf habit. I get tee times or make some type of sale daily, but I've had the site for 6 years now, and it's really only recently that it started to make steady money.

I've tried just about everything, truly 100's of niches, 100's of sites... A couple years ago, mixed in with my work, I did nothing but mainstream, built 100's of sites. From product sites, feeders, mailers, etc. Two niches made me money... Golf and Dogs, and I don't own a dog.

Awesome stuff! I like energy products and golf. Is the energy product like 4hour energy or something? You said the golf is local. I'm imagining a local tee time reservation site or something? Anyway, cool stuff and congrats on making some $$$ on it.
