buy a small inexpensive site that's being indexed real well.. and then slowly add more to it?? What I basically want to know is, can I buy some stupid baking and tampons site and add pages for health and wellness junk?? Does the new content have to be relevant?

I would think so, but I don't know. . .

Nothing I ever make ever got indexed into google.. back in the day it was my heyday there I would create 100s and 100s and 100s of one picture pages with random text and BLAM altavista blew me like a hooker with rent due in the morning

I don't think that. My websites index always in the first 50 results for the keyword I am projecting. It's all about content.

I am not sure what you have done in the past since registering here but I'd really advise to get a grip on wordpress and play around with a few different setups rather than buying a site that might be getting some search engine traffic but you have no idea why.

Also try a few different site approaches in the same niche and see what works best and then expand on that.

With the ever increasing influence of social media in SEO you might try at first something that people will share with their friends easily for the entertainment value to gain momentum. You really won't have much luck with wellness and health in that area.

Use your own keyword rich .com and hosting.

What do you think about buying sites with good traffic, rakings, etc that don't have ads on them?? I was thinking I could get them fairly cheap and then put adsense on them... ??

Worth a try but consider why the site has good rankings in the first place.

If the seller has it as part of an extended network and pulls his links to it, the traffic and rankings will change.

In my opinion Adsense is only really worth using on a site that has highly targeted visitors, looking for something specific and an area that is worth money to the advertisers. 100 targeted visitors to a finance, money, mortgage etc site will do more good than 1000 to a funny picture site.

Then again consider what kind of traffic is easier to get. If you can pull in 1000s of visitors to an entertainment site you can use CPM advertising networks that will monetize much better. This type of site can grow really fast and does not rely only on SEO alone.

You want to keep things relatively similar in content, if only for your readers. Writing about slightly different topics shouldn't really cause an issue as long as you're not banking on the domain name helping you rank.

I am reading a book about SEO from a so called google expert named Evan Bailyn.
He says an adult website will never gain trust value in google. Whatever you do, it will never rank high.

New domains and websites will never rank in the top 100 results before 2 months. WTF ?
I had a wordpress website immediately ranking on the first page for my keyword.

This book is big crap ?

Here's what every site owner needs to know about Google.

- Your content needs to be readable by Google. Pictures are NOT readable.
- Your content (text & services offered) needs to be RELEVANT. It needs to be about something and contribute to what surfers are looking for.
- Your keywords and other tags need to be RELEVANT to the content.

And it definitely helps you to be good to Google. Don't try to screw them over. All they care about is delivering qualified clicks to their surfers so the minute you try to trick them with BS SEO tricks, Google will banish your site to the last possible page.

You don't need a book to understand SEO. Try googling the phrase "How does Google index my site?". Read ONLY the information posted on Google, from Google, and ignore all the other bullshit.
