Anyone else have issues with a Logitech mouse and Windows 7? - GoFuckYourself.com

From what I've read it's a somewhat common problem (with logitech) and I can't seem to get it fixed based on what I've found as solutions online.

I've gone through 4 now and the issue is the same, they start double clicking (or triple clocking) when I click on something. Total pain in the ass.

Anyone else have this issue and were you able to solve it?

I'm going tomorrow to buy a non logitech mouse but figured I'd ask here just in case one of you smart peeps figured it out.

I have a wireless Logitech mouse on my noetbook with Windows 7 and it's working no problems at all.

I actually ended up going back to corded mouse and keyboard, for the mouse I'd suggest a "gaming" type.

Yes, lag when mousing over certain icons and an auto double click on single click. This was a Logitech as well and it was annoying, bailed on logitech and tried some Microsoft wireless mouse 5000 but it had issues as well so I returned it right away.

Using a: Microsoft SideWinder X3 now. This was the best staples had in stock at the time, it is pretty good. No click problems, decent DPI [2000] for precision cropping etc in photoshop.

Gaming mice are good but be aware that the higher the dpi you run it at the more hypersensitive it will feel especially if you are heavy handed or until you get used to it.

Many of these higher dpi units will have buttons that allow you to adjust the dpi sensitivity on the fly, I ended up using the full 2000 all the time when I got used to it.

I have an L7 Logitech wireless mouse and an Illuminated keyboard. Both work great in Win7 x64.

Have you tried blowing the fucker out a little? Dirt/hair/whatever getting in the way of the contacts could cause something like this? Got pets? Dusty environment?

I get this but I assumed it was because the micro switches wear out after a while and it's time to throw it away and buy a new one.

I've got a Logitech G9 laser mouse for my desktop and laptop running Windows 7 and it works perfectly on both.

Got the same ( with keyboard ) but mouse ends up acting like if I clicked twice .... Annoying ... Will be replaced ...

use windows native drivers. Do not install the logitech software, you don't need it.

Yep I have a corded one and it gives me problems all the time. Just powers off for no reason. Sometimes it's powered on, plugged in, and still nothing.

The mouse is not worn out, and they all go crazy within 3 - 4 weeks, no matter the Logitech model. From what I've read MANY logitech users have the same issue.

Bought a microsoft mouse today, if it makes it past the 4 week mark without going bat shit crazy on me, I'll be happy. Not gonna hold my breath.
