Hello Guys:

so my domain expired on July 15th and today i just renewed the domain (godaddy).
how long does it takes to become active again? i just visited the site and theres still this godaddy message saying the domain expired.

You probably have to change the dns back to your host.

Worst case 24 hours, it should be fine.

Hmm well the DNS settings are still webair so all good there.. maybe it just takes some time!! thanks for your answers ;)

it ususally stores the dns ( depending on how long its expired)

Can be anywhere from 10 minutes to 24 hrs from my experience.

you might have their DNS results cached. Clearing the cache might help.

GoDaddy will typically change the DNS back to your previous DNS settings within 5 minutes of renewal. If you're still seeing the expired domain page, it's likely you're seeing a cached page. Check the registry's WHOIS for the latest DNS. If your domain is .com or .net, go to VeriSign WHOIS.
