why the US is bound to fall (fail) ...

its ignorance ... almost all US fellas i know keep repeating "global warming is fake" (just like believing in god ) ... in return, the US misses out BIG TIME investing in FUTURE products to preserve nature (and mankinds habitable area) ... i am talking about green technology ... fuck, i just saw a docu about "desert technology" and MAROCCO (!) being one of the first nations to go for it ( in cooperation with spain, france, germany - actually they started in 2009 already ) ... if the US keeps pumping its money in warfare and oil mining - you WILL fall / fail in the future ... welcome to the land of stagnation - the USA

It only makes out 9-10% of the climate change.. and out of that humans generates close to nothing..

I'm pretty sure there's a reason why Al Gore didn't want to take up the discussion with the 9000 PHD's involved in this law suit.

So, humans also generated the global warming on Mars?

http://www.theracquet.net/viewpoint/...ange-1.2185141

"The amount of CO2 increases after the Earth's temperature increases. Volcanoes produce more CO2 each year than all humans combined, and the amount volcanoes produce is further dwarfed by the amount created through other natural sources such as animals and bacteria as well as the process of decomposition.

Humans and the natural sources previously mentioned when combined do not come close to the real source of CO2 responsible for increased levels after a temperature increase is seen. The largest CO2 sources are, by many levels of magnitude, the oceans. Substantial amounts of CO2 are dissolved in the oceans and it is released as they are warmed. CO2 is a product of temperature change."

Our current warming trend goes back about 200 years to what was known as "Little Ice Age" and it started before the invention of cars and planes. The world averaged temperatures a few degrees Celsius higher than today during a period 6,000 years ago during a period known as the "Holocene Maximum." Climate change is cyclical. We will see a time in our history when temperatures are both warmer and colder than they are today.

The harsh reality of these facts presented here is that so much economic development has taken place based upon the false sense that human CO2 is causing us to burn up. Tens of thousands of jobs have been created in this industry all over the world. Solar and wind power implements for instance take many years to break even if they ever do. Although the job creation is good, these industries will crumble when it is realized that human CO2 emissions are not the culprit of global warming as these technologies are not cost effective and heavily subsidized.

You're right failure has nothing to do with the fact that all revenues generated are going to pay interest on loans to the same bankers who got 16 trillion in loans themselves in the past few years. And everything to do with the fact that we won't buy into a scam to pay those same people a tax on a basic element of life.

At this point does it really matter why the world is crumbling around us? In fact, it is, regardless of the source or cause...and we and our future generations are going to have the opportunity to basic in the warmth only the sun's radiation can lovingly provide.

Does climate change exist? Yes of course. The climate has been changing since the beginning of the earth.

Are those carbon credit systems, carbon ration cards and carbon taxes aimed at doing something about climate change? Of course not. It's just another scheme to make money at the expense of the taxpayer.

Who were the biggest backers of the carbon credit idea? The guys at Enron!

I use to be a huge Global Warming nut job. Then slowly, as I began to read more and more on the subject, doubt entered my mind.

The final nail in the coffin for me was when these so called experts recently announced that climate change will actually bring us colder over all weather for the next 25 years or so and after that it is going to get really bad/warm - give me a break!

I find it odd that anybody who dare speak out against Global Warming suddenly loses their research money - hmmmm.

Sources on this claim of loss of research money? I'd like to add that to my notes.

What did you think of the recent Koch funded study?

There's only a small school of researchers who think that a cooling pattern is likely, it's not part of the central model. You did know that right?

Perhaps you can tell us your understanding of the multi-decadal model that does make that prediction?

lulz - doesnt take much homework to see that CO2 is NOT the major contributor to climate change.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenhouse_gas

When these gases are ranked by their direct contribution to the greenhouse effect, the most important are:

Gas Formula Contribution (%)

Water vapor H2O 36 ? 72 %
Carbon dioxide CO2 9 ? 26 %
Methane CH4 4 ? 9 %
Ozone O3 3 ? 7 %

Please do a little more homework before you call other people dumb.

The reduction in oil imports would justify "green technology." Therein lies the immediate benefit.

If global warming because of hydrocarbon emissions is a fact, there is much dispute to this global warming matter, then it would be a side benefit.

The floor show is the elimination of hydrocarbon fossil fuels ? the side show is global warming.

It's the possible economic effects that will spur investment ? the tangible v. the intangible.

QFT. Fact is, science really doesnt know all the mechanics of climate change. There are inputs from the sun, ocean currents, volcanos, methane gas releases from the ocean. For anyone to narrow it down to MAN thats causing climate change is totally naive.

CO2 is pumped into greenhouses to make plants grow. So one can assume that increased levels of of Co2 in the atmosphere means more abundant life on Earth. Considering it is after all a basic element of all life. But the people behind this agenda don't want more abundant life. They want less. So they twist the facts and use Overloads as a tool in their own destruction.

Hmmm, I wonder if you understand your own argument.

You do realize what that list says, right?

You can probably chose better arguments to support your position than this one.

That list supports the model of anthropogenic warming caused by carbon emmisions, it doesn't refute it.

Age of the Earth 4,300,000,000,000 years

Years a thermometer Existed 439

Percentage of the days with a temperature that could possibly have been recorded 0.00000001%

Kind of a really small sample

Not correct.. there are other ways to measure that the temperature was before the thermometer was invented... ice samples and shit

In my experience, hardcore believers of global warming are more ignorant and thick headed than their skeptical counter parts. I have no opinion on the matter, personally.

I stand corrected

An ice core recently shipped from Antarctica has yielded its first, eagerly awaited results. The tests confirm that the 3200-metre core dates back at least 750,000 years, making the ice the oldest continuous core ever retrieved.

When people argue that a gas which has less then 26% effect on climate change is the problem, thats like saying the interest paid on the national debt is the problem with runaway spending. forget medicare, social security & the pentagon, its the interest on the debt thats causing the problem.

its also like the fallacy of trickle down economics - the idea that tax rates effect job growth in an economy where interest rates, debt levels, consumer confidence, govt trade practices, & productivity advancements all have an effect.

Nobody can isolate 1 item in a dynamic climate & conclude CO2 is the problem. Because ifs thats the problem, good luck locking down every volcano in the world.

Saw a guy on some talk show saying that green is a waste for governments and they should be spending the money in green research. Not buying the systems.

I guessed that he missed the memo about the advancements in green tech come from the private companies and not the federal gov.

Al Gore made millions by scamming the World about Global warming. I've never believed it and you shouldn't either.

Whether global warming is fake or not, there should be some nifty stuff coming to us soon.
Check out bloombox, ebay and google are using these. They are working on making smaller versions that would be more affordable and can be used to power homes, etc. They say in about 10 years you could have one for your home for about 3k. Right now the big ones are like 800k lol ={

no it doesn't, why? because the planet is too big for us to make a difference and that's undeniable.

embrace the futility... we are fucking ants... and so are you.

I wouldn't go that far, I think he was just simply misinformed and ran with the wrong info. I'm sure his heart was in the right place, but I'm sure he enjoyed the money and praise he got for it as well.

No offense, but you sound like some teenager that was brain-washed by their high-school teacher into thinking a certain way, and never bothers to look at any facts that don't support the views that they already have. Dry air contains roughly (by volume) 78.09% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.039% carbon dioxide, and small amounts of other gases. Meanwhile the more we rely on actual data collected, and less on computer models of possible climate activity, the more important the role of the Sun becomes to earths climactic cycles.
