New Low: Obama?s Job Approval Rating Sinks Below 40% For First Time!

His approval ratings have been in the 40 percent range for much of the year, ticking up to the low 50s in May when Osama bin Laden was killed. At two and a half years into his presidency, Obama?s approval ratings are lower than former President Bill Clinton?s were in August 1995.

Former President George W. Bush?s Gallup ratings did not drop below 40 percent until October 2005, two months after Hurricane Katrina. Looks like the Messiah of the left is falling hard and fast...but why? I?m always amazed that his ratings continue to be as high as they are, even though they are below 40%?.amazing.

Looks like the rats are deserting a sinking ship

CBS/NY Times poll: The more you get to know the tea party, the more you dislike them...

The percentage of people with an unfavorable view of the Tea Party in a New York Times/CBS News Poll this week was higher than it has been since the first time the question was asked, in April 2010. Forty percent of those polled this week characterized their view as “not favorable,” compared with 18 percent in the first poll.

Obviously the right has never approved of him, but his most recent loses have been on the far left that stood by him for a long time, but now are starting to think that he is too moderate for their liking. The big question is, will those on the left who no disapprove of him still vote for him? They aren't going to vote republican, a few might vote 3rd party, but likely they will just not vote. Activating the far left is not easy. He was able to do it, but he may have lost them which could put him in big danger of not getting re-elected.

That's just the independents jumping the 2008 hope & change ship they bought into, now he's just left with his base. Gonna spend the next 16 months trying to get the independents back instead of running the country now, politics is an unfortunate setup when the president goes on a campaign tour in the middle of a mess because he has to to get re-elected.

If a democrat can activate the far left and get their votes he is very difficult to beat. Clinton did it and Obama did it. John Kerry and Al Gore could not. In the Gore/Kerry years there was not much turn out from the far left and those that did voted Green party/alternative candidates. In the Clinton and Obama years the green party got very few votes. In 2000 the Green party and other parties combined got about 3.5% of the vote. In 2008 they only got about 1%.

Those groups aside there are many hardcore left wing liberals who are not into the green party, but don't vote for a lot of different reasons. Getting them to the polls is not easy, but if you can do it they can be a big help putting you in office. There have been a bunch of polls that show about 10-15% of the country are hardcore conservative right wingers and about 10-15% are hardcore liberal lefties and the rest fall somewhere in the middle. The difference is the right is organized, motivated and they turn out to vote. The left . . . not so much.

"Sarkozy popularity at record low"
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/169824.html

"The survey, conducted by the French Institute for Public Opinion, proved that only 29 percent of respondents approved Sarkozy's actions in March compared with 31 percent in February, Reuters reported Saturday."

40% is still decent for me.

If he's a one term president as people say, then he'll end about 18% ahead of the last guy.

I guess that's change... almost 100% improvement.

I cannot believe that they can find 40% who still approve.

[E]arlier on Friday, the French president asked one of his Muslim advisors for his call on Muslims to quit the governing UMP party.

Abderrahmane Dahmane, who served as Sarkozy's diversity advisor, is opposed to a planned UMP debate on Islam.

The debate ? scheduled for next month ? is on the compatibility of Islam with the rules of the secular French Republic.

On Thursday, Dahmane compared the situation of French Muslims to that of Jews during World War II and said the debate had been planned by a "handful of neo-Nazis." ...
That is an ironical analogy ...
