Even if you aren't on Facebook... FB probably has your email/phone via your friends who are...

Facebook was able to roll this right under your nose without you even noticing. Even if you are not on Facebook at all, your phone number and email might be on facebook via one of your friends who does use Facebook. Pay attention here?

Oh dear god no! And here I thought I was safe being in the phone book which Facebook doesn't have access to. Next thing you're going to tell me is they are capable of looking me up in the phone book too!

At least you can opt-out of being in the phonebook. Apparently with Facebook you don't have a choice, it's up to whoever has your info in their contact list.

The point is they way they did it is sneaky. I never remember checking a box or pressing accept agreeing to them taking all the contact info off of my phone... Nor do many people.

Why would you need to check a box? You agreed to TOS when you signed up.

Where? Also, this is a pretty big thing to agree to and shouldn't be in any fine print. They clearly did it in a way that was "sneaky"

The terms on their site say nothing about pulling off all the phone numbers in your pone list. I found tons of contact info of people in my phone, who I know for a fact do not have an FB account.

There was nothing sneaky. The only way you have people not on FB on yyour contact list is if you synced your phone to FB, If you did not the only phone numbers listed are those that include it on their info page. In either case, YOU are the ONLY person that has access to your contact list.
