I do like Argentina myself, only stopped in Brazil for a flight change so I can't comment
If things ever go tits up in the UK e.g. Japan-style nuclear disaster, war etc, then Argentina would be the backup plan

crime is kinda terrible in those countries are they not? I wouldn't mind visiting either for a vacation but not much more than that..
