We know that Kim Kardashian can make money out of nothing, but we didn't realise $30 million could be made out of her erm, getting it on with ex boyfriend Ray J.

According to TMZ, Vivid Entertainment's (who own the rights to the tape) chief, Steve Hirsch was sent a letter from the bidder's lawyer.

It reportedly read: "I was approached by a private party who has asked us about looking into the possibility of acquiring all rights of the Vivid, Kim Kardashian Sex Tape. The party we represent does not intend to distribute or broadcast the 'tape', but hopes to completely remove it from the market.

"We would purchase any other footage you may have control of that involves Ms Kardashian."

However, Steve Hirsch isn't handing over the footage unless he gets a hefty payout.

Responding to the letter, the chief told TMZ: "Based on its long term value, it looks like $30 million would be a starting point for a discussion on all of the rights. I have no idea who is behind this offer ... but If it's Kim, I have a tremendous amount of respect for her. She has my number and can call me any time."

We bet Kim would be more than happy to help come up with the dosh...
