ccbill affiliate tracking errors..

Is anyone else noticing errors on ccbill affiliate script links??

I modified my scripts to pass the affiliate id in the query string as it wasn't appearing on the ccbill form when the error showed but I still get an error page in between the redirection which doesn't look too clever! It shows for a couple of seconds then redirects to the correct site..

click this a few times to see what I mean... sometimes it works ok.. sometimes it fucks up..

Already contacted ccbill yesterday but it obviously isn't fixed yet!!

Yes we noticed it as well.

CCBILL is aware and working on the problem

Here is what Lange from CCBILL sent me via ICQ yesterday.

I had the head of the referral program look into this. The programmers are working on some side of the referral program. But, we did see the "Internal Access Error" pop up (it only pops up for a second and then goes directly to your main page). This is temporary and just because they are working on improvments. Your webmasters are not losing sales.

Maybe "Corvett" can shed some more light.

I will say that I think its amazing how within 2 hours I got an answer from CCBILL while I'm still waiting for an answer from IBILL from issues 10 months go!

I'm not so sure about that.. try both these links, click through to the join form and look at the source of the join page..

with id in query string..

without id in query string..

Notice how the ccbill form with the id in the query string shows this on it..

ccbill_referer value='390999'

but the form without the id in the query string shows no ccbill_referer field at all.. so I am assuming that the error means they did not set the affiliate cookie and so it could not be read by the form script..

I first noticed the error 2 days ago but initially assumed it was just a fluke and thought nothing more of it until yesterday when I noticed it happening again and frequently..

It seems they are having some hosting problems, try to load ccbill join page, most of the time it is very difficult to load a full hellopage.

This is so apparent. CCBill has a problem. They got email, immediately you get an email back stating that there is a problem and that they are working on it.

This is customer service.

If IBill has a problem you get a bullshit email back (if any) a couple of days later stating that they have no problem and its probably your fault.

Errors happen. Nobody is perfect and nobody really cares about little errors as long as you get straight answers and things get fixed. As I stated in former posts:

I don't get why you pass the id like that?

just go: &ccbill_referer=YOURID&html=..., never seen that /?ID format before..
