Your profile says you're a content producer. Now you produce something, publish it on sites that you host on server you lease from LeaseWeb, and then you find your content back on piracy sites hosted by LeaseWeb and they refuse to deal with it.

Does it make more sense this way? If not, I don't speak Surinamish, sorry.

If you were a content producer you would understand my point. And what part or logic from my post is wrong?
Also I just checked out your hall of shame page... that's exactly what I think everybody should do when they get screwed by someone... name and shame. So that's why I registered that domain about LeaseWeb.
And of course stuff like that will never make it to the RTL news.

DMCA notices and all related crap doesn't work and often causes the pirate to become even more determined.

Hosts, like the losers at LeaseWeb, will always put up as many fences as they can to protect their customers (revenue) and hoping you get frustrated and stop sending notices.

Clearly, just like if you have a problem at any other business, you have to move up the line... bandwidth providers and places like that.

Because the pirates, and their supporters like LeaseWeb, play dirty it seems to me that the best way to fight them is dirty.

If the discussions in this thread about CP are true it seems to me that the information should be properly packaged and sent to media outlets, like NBC News / MS-NBC, and Congressional people and others. Let the media guys go visit the American executives for LeaseWeb down near that datacenter they opened in the USA (not far from Washington DC) and ask a few questions on camera.

How can some executive here explain their massive support for the activities (CP, Warez and Copyright issues) described above?

No matter how many times he tried to explain that the laws are different back home the news guys here would make him look foolish. Love to see some exec that has kids in the USA explain the CP issues, or near CP issues (if true).

Love to see that exec explain on MS-NBC, in this economy, his support for copyright violators that is costing American's jobs and income.

That interview would then likely lead to investigations and actions by government types, etc.

Pirates, and the supporters like LeaseWeb, play dirty. Might be time for dirty tricks from the copyright holders side.

Jimmy

Disagree with first statement but agree on the below.

This works too.. someone I know did a nice job for a zero day pirate here: mikesexxxcriminal.com - had everything of his, personal/family pics, youtube channel vids uploaded to megavideo after he closed it, thai business, etc. He finally stopped. It may not work for all but I guarentee it will work for some of these idiots hiding behind whois protection.

Trust me, when it comes to child- and animal pornography, laws are the same in Holland and elsewhere in Europe as in the US. It's just that, like in the US, there's a lot of cp going around including cp with very young kids (babies) which is getting all of the attention of those who are in charge of fighting it. What piracy sites are doing in this field is "on the edge" stuff. 16-17 crap, teens, or "milder cp". It's illegal but nobody has time for it because there is so much worse stuff going around.

but if this would be put under the attention of the Dutch media and LeaseWeb's big clients, it would be another thing. And the spotlight will be put on it, you can count on that.

Today another cp site we found on a LeaseWeb server and reported to the police was shut down: http://www.youngcuties.in

Another "teen" site hosted from the same ip address 95.211.138.129 is still active but these girls don't look illegally young to me. Is there a way to check what other sites are hosted from this same ip address, or even from other ip addresses but from the same server?

In the meantime we sent in our response for the domain dispute procedure initiated by LeaseWeb for the aboutleaseweb.org domain and we're expecting to get sued for slander by LeaseWeb soon but we're happy to get this matter into Dutch or French court.

More info at http://www.aboutlswb.org
