:2cents A subtle reminder of how powerful China is economically

"It is extremely poor. The thought of it having to bail out ultra-rich Europe is a scandal."

japan population 2010 is 127 million
china population 2010 is 1.3 billion
so
japan has $5334000000000
china has $6500000000000
so if my calculations are right china has more money in total but less per capita because there is more people

exactly and Japan's birth rate is so low that its economic progress is going to be SERIOUSLY in trouble within 25 years

Which is totally obvious to anyone, aside from the OP I guess, unless he is joking. Using this argument the tiny European backwater Luxembourg is twice as economically powerful as the USA. Which is obviously true, right?

China borrows heavily to build out its country with 60 story single skyscrapers in small remote villages and super trains to connect it all.

Don't let them deceive you. Yeah they build a lot of shit for $3 but only sell it for $3.50.

Are you seriously comparing the cost of running one of the largest and largely undeveloped nations on earth to one of the smallest, developed nations in the world?

Funny that the chart is GDP per capita and its immediately explained by the gfy brain trust that both countries have different sized populations.

To answer your question... uhm... no. Haha.. jesus.

GDP per capita is just that. Japan is just an interesting comparison. When you're behind a nation of street beggars and gypsies like Aizerbaijan with production per person (which mostly comes from oil exports), you've got a problem. Especially when you have 1.4 Billion people, the bulk of which, living in abject poverty and you are one of the most expansive countries in the world.... and still undeveloped.

I love how China has an iron fist around any corporation that wants to do business in their country. American government could learn from that example.

The government should be scared of it's people and do what they demand. The Chinese people can learn that from American people.
