First they have some sort of "technical difficulties" and then the hit counters are up and running again. The hit numbers are big, but the conversions are shit... even though the models and themes in question are proven sellers in the past.

I hate that you cant send visitors to your store without that stupid warning page.. I mean, who is going to send them from a non adult site ?? ...so why bother everyone with clicking the entrer link??
Also if you have 5 stores you cant marge the fucking cash into one payout, which is pretty stupid. |

me and a few FL producers discussed this the other day and we agreed something is up, last 2 months actually c4s been hurting majorly in comparison to the other clip stores and vod sites

Who knows if it was true, It would not surprise me knowing what I know now, about all the ways to skim, and how tempted the ones collecting your funds can be, So I don't expect much sales from clips4sale, and am still waiting for my intelligent answer as to why top selling clip order shuffles around like sales are rolling in when there are no sales rolling in. |

I have noticed that recently they added in their links on your store to tell you to "return to clips4sale" or whatever. This type of stuff always pisses me off, and it what I am sure others would call a traffic leak.
I had always preferred to drive my own traffic to my stores via my niche network of sites, newsletters, etc. versus relying solely on C4S main page like many do. If you want to link out to your own stores, you have to provide link juice back to C4S or they will not allow you to link out to your own membership sites. Even when you drive your own traffic now, you have that "return to clips4sale" which can drive your traffic to other stores versus keeping them bouncing around your own network of sites and stores. I think this is getting a bit greedy from the C4S side of the coin. ![]() |

Another problem with their back end is the "set preview" option.
You spend time going through each clip, picking out where you want to set the preview. Then you update the clip and the preview doesn't activate until HOURS later, at which point it is NEVER where you wanted it set to begin with! At that point you just disable all previews again, since it NEVER works out correctly anyway! How many years before you C4S guys are going to bother fixing this? Sometimes it is better to NOT offer a feature, than it is to offer something that is totally fucked up. |

Hey all
Being that I don't surf the boards often I hadn't caught wind of this thread until someone emailed it to both Neil and myself. Most of you know that you can always contact me at jo @ clips4sale.com to look into concerns that you may have so please make use of that if necessary. In regards to the topics mentioned in this thread.... If you are not getting sufficient response through http://support.clips4sale.com/ then email Tom @clips4sale.com and if that doesn't help then email me please. As for sales on the site, I will have to investigate this further as I've only had one direct concern recently which wasn't a result of traffic loss. I don't want to stipulate explanation for complaints when I am unable to provide a honest and solid answer. I do know that the duplication of the entire DB is in the final stages of being completed which is a positive as there has been server issues with the primary DB that have gone undetected due to C4S being pulled from numerous servers. What the duplicate DB will do is if any server on the primary location crashes within a matter of seconds the secondary server location will switch everything and no one will even know that it happened. Whether or not the recent server issues are responsible for the decline in sales or not is unknown but I will most certainly look into this and keep you all posted. Obviously if a studio is loosing $ then so is C4S. So it's important for the sake of both parties involved to get to the bottom of this. In the meantime if you wish to email me direct about your concerns then please feel free to do so and I will get to you as soon as I possibly can to help. I have spent the past 4 and a half hours doing in depth research and have turned up with no issues with the sites traffic, nor have sales been lower than previous months.
In fact sales as a whole are up compared to October to date and way up compared to October 2010. Now while digging deeper into studios that had inconsistent sales I discovered issues like.... - not utilizing their content when updating - lack of using tools like the "future activation" tool to set updates rather than posting them all in one day once a week - no regular updates - using c4smembers.com as content on their clips4sale studio - no content at all It is a competitive market on C4S with new studios opening daily which in turn means that consumers have more to choose from. I'd like to suggest to those that are interested, to consider some of the following pointers in effort to increase your sales - Update at least once a day - Take advantage of tools like the future activation feature where you can set content to go live months in advance if you wished - Consider promoting your studio and driving your own source of traffic via twitter, facebook, forums and blogs (be sure not to spam sources though or they'll ban you) - Maybe even go as far as doing some paid advertising if you can afford to invest money to make more money (I'd advise hiring a professional to do the buying and optimizing though) So with that all said, regrettably there is no issue on C4S end with sales or traffic so if you wish for me to dig in and review your studios please email me at jo @ clips4sale.com and I will take a look at your stores and try to help you get back those sales that have apparently decreased for you.
