Tim Tebow

so weird, an NFL quarterback who plays and throws like a high school quarterback - but he's 4-1.

I didn't know anything about Tebow until my Nephew was a freshman at UF and Tebow took the Gators to the National Championship that year. I was happy for my Nephew because he got to experience the thrill and hype of his college team winning it all.

After that I began to watch Tebow. I'm so tired of the athletes that drop their guns on the nightclub dance floor or beat their wives or get busted for drugs. I'm all for people that keep their nose clean and focus on the task at hand. Tebow is a decent person that will lead a positive and productive life.

Now I enjoy watching all the naysayers that said he would never be drafted in the NFL and then gets picked in the first round.

They said he wouldn't play and now he is the starting QB.

They said he couldn't be productive in the NFL due to his skills and style of play and here he has turned the Broncos's season around.

His wins haven't been pretty but a win is a win. He has a tenacious work ethic and with some really smart coaching I think they can make him much more effective. He has gone above and beyond what the heaters were saying and thats what I like most about Tebow, he faced it straight on and proved them wrong.

I honestly don't know what to make of the guy. He just might have the worst stats ever compiled for a 4-1 quarterback. So far he's winning with his legs and that never lasts long in the NFL.

He is a refreshing change attitude wise I'll give him that.

Didn't he complete only two passes in one of his wins? Doesn't that mean he's just putting the ball in the runners hands and letting them do all the work?

His god is definitely on his side.

i hope he can grow - what he's doing now is a great story but long term, medium term, you can't play like this in the NFL for long. he needs to develop as a passer and most experts don't think he can. time will tell, with each win he at least buys himself more time.

I was watching a game a few weeks back, might have been a Dolphin game, and the receiver caught the ball in the middle of the field took a few steps forward before cutting to the sideline and running out of bounds WITHOUT ever being touched by a defender and it wasn't done to stop the clock. He didn't even try to get more yards by confronting the defense.

Tebow puts his head down and does whatever he can to get extra yardage. As much as any other player at any other position and he is the QB. Thats good football.

In the Pats vs Fins game, Brady trampled the Dolphins with surgical precision. It was amazing to watch as he scored almost every possession. Tebow does play like a high school QB but he does it with heart and soul and enough determination to get the job done.

In last night's game he put the ball in the runner's hands many times and they were unable to score so with about a minute left in the game Tebow kept the ball and did the runner's job by running 20 yds to score the winning touchdown

I had the game running in the background and I like the underdog. So Broncos won and the Tebow mania lives on because how this game ended and how the last game ended but why should I be have to be exposed to players in a prayer circle on national TV when I could not see the guy (I presume streaker) making a mocking of security?
I would love TT if he weren't a religious fanatic but I still wish him the best in Denver despite being up against some hardcore guys who would love to see him going on a missionary trio instead of playing on their team but at 4-1 its hard to cut him.

He is different and as a Raider fan he worries me, but you are right, almost all "running" QB's in the NFL either figure out how to stay in the pocket and pass more or they have short careers.

I am a lifetime Broncos fan and I really enjoy watching the guy will the team to a win through sheer guts an determination....... it has been a long time since Bronco football was this much fun. Tebow looks a lot like Elway did in his early tears...... very erratic but with the heart of a winner.

A huge part of Tebow's impact is just what you said. He has helped invigorate Broncos football and I'm sure Denver is buzzing with excitement. The city of Jacksonville wanted him for the same reason. He's selling tickets, filling the local sports bars and putting food back on the table of local venders.

On the flip side here in Orlando where we just built a state of the art arena for Magic basketball games and people invested their life savings in surrounding business hoping to cash in on the arena's success. It's now empty due to the NBA BS and the fight between greedy owners and players. The ones that are suffering the most are the ones that actually support the sport.

Shaq came here and had this town buzzing so I know what its like.

I hope Tebow turns Denver upside down and gets them to the playoffs.

Tebow probably has more determination and heart than any two guys in the NFL. Having said that as soon as the leagues defensive coordinators get some more film on him they will shut that offense down.

Can the the broncos be a 500 team with tebow? I think so, will they make it to the super bowl running the spread offense, not very likely.

Yea but the difference is Elway had one of the strongest arms ever and could actually throw the ball, Tebow is no Elway and will never be. Through all this Tebow mania people are being blinded by the fact it is the defense that is winning the games, Tebows offense scored a whole 10 points last night and 10 point against KC with only 2 receptions the whole game, not a good recipe for long term wins.

I love the conspiracy theory mentioned in this article:

Quote:
Conspiracy Theory

Now lets have some fun with this. I have come up with this conspiracy theory that thinks that these other bad NFL teams are playing a practical joke on the Broncos. I came up with this last week before last nights win so I thought there was a conspiracy going on between the other AFC west teams to lose to Tebow so that the Broncos have no choice but to keep him as their QB. Think about it, as long as Tebow is the QB of the Broncos they will be an average team that will be stuck in the middle of the pack with no chance of ever being great. I can see the other AFC West GM?s on a conference call just laughing at this cruel joke they are playing on John Elway. As many of you probably know John Elway is not a Tebow fan because he knows he is not a competent QB but he is stuck with him as long as he keeps winning. If this ever comes out as being the case it will go down as the greatest practical joke EVER!

Elway graduated from Stanford and Tebow went to University of Florida. Elway has a higher IQ. UF is basically an extension of high school.

Here is a stat for you - In Tebow's first 8 games that he started in the NFL he has more passing yards than Elway did in his 1st 8 games that he started!

First of all, the Jets suck this year.

Secondly, Tebow ain't shit, defenses will learn to clamp down on his bullshit.

First of all, he's 4-1 so a bunch of other teams must suck too.

Secondly, all Tebow needs is a few talented receivers that can run down a lame duck pass
my Grandma could've thrown and the Broncos will be unbeatable.

Also, I said defenses will learn to clamp down on his bullshit, as in the future. His 4 wins were in the past when he caught defenses by surprise with his lucky running bullshit.

I'm tired of going to the bank with nothing to deposit

Like I said they will never be more than a 500 team. I'm a fan of the kid, I just think he isn't a qb. that you can build your franchise around.

He can't perform like he did vs. the Jets and expect to win regularly. He didn't advance the ball all night. I'm not saying he can't get better, I'm saying if you advance the ball 150 yards as an offense in the NFL the odds of winning are not high. Good for him though, he came through at the end.

Exactly, more credit should go to the Bronco's defense for that win. Jets should have scored more points and won easily.

I don't remember his passing game being that bad in college but so far he's been stinkin the place up and playing more like a magician than a quarterback.
If and when he can get that worked out he could be an ok QB.

He needs to put in a lot of work and like I said he needs some really good coaching.
I'd much rather watch someone claw their way to the top than watch someone at the top fail.
