Exactly what I thought. Nothing. The loudest fucktards online are the ones who don't do a damn thing except argue the merits and deride those who have a divergent view of the OWS. Just like that guy I mentioned earlier with the Buddhist Monks. Hasn't done a damn thing except talk about it. All you are really good for, aren't you? Talk about it. At least the useful idiot are doing something. You? You are a coward that would rather argue about it online where you don't have to actually meet anyone face to face. Great job!

Nice try at deflection about .xxx let's stay with the subject at hand. Prove you've done something other than being a Fucktard on the interwebs.

Did you just make up imaginary, unsubstantiated support?

Why can't others argue that the vast majority of Americans are squarely against the so called "99%"?

At the end of the day, and generally speaking, Americans prefer law and order, safety and security... that's why they will fail. That's the only reason Bush Jr got elected the second time. That's why WTO protesters get beat down and forgotten about withing a few days.

Besides, eventually they start getting more unruly and ultimately lose more and more support. Particularly when other fringe groups join in like "anarchists" and general shit disturbers and vandalism, looting, fighting and everything else starts.

Everyone is all excited about "change".... no one knows what "change" means. That's how Obama got elected.

The kids that got sprayed had ample opportunity to slide over 3' in either direction. They opted not to.

Look at your sad pathetic attempts at deflection.

I don't give a fuck about OWS. I'll do something about it by voting. What are you doing about OWS? Nothing.

"Somebody who is definitely making the connection is Jamie Dimon, the CEO of J.P. Morgan, who last week gave USD 4.6 million to the New York Police Department to beef up police presence on the streets and to crack heads and to violently oppress protesters. So, Jamie Dimon is obviously quite nervous if he feels he has to hire more cops to protect him and his bankers. The same thing is true with Goldman Sachs. They beefed up their security. The people on the street know who the folks that are impoverishing them are. Around the world, they are beginning to touch a tipping point, especially using global technologies, social networking technologies. The economies of scale for the protesters will kick in and we will start to see a global push ack using some innovative ways to decapitalize ? that is to say bankrupt ? the worst offenders in the banking and corporate sector and I expect that to happen in the next few months."

People's Park, Berkeley, 1968

OWS has a ways to go. Back in 69 then Governor of California Ronald Reagan called in State Patrol and National Guard and they weren't just using pepper spray and batons they were shooting buckshot, not rubber bullets, and they cleared streets with bayonets.

Read and learn young patriots on how take it to the streets and accomplish something:

People's Park

The way things are escalating though I do think it is just a matter of time before there is another Kent State style massacre. Sad to say.

The laws apply to everyone. The difference is the 99% doesn't have a group of lobbyists pressuring to create laws that favor us instead of the banks.

According to KTXL and KFI only 11 of the 60 Demonstrators in the video were students, they where protesting a recently approved tuition increase in the University of California system. The OWS Demonstrators where trespassing as they are not students at UC Davis campus.

Officers left the quad area after making their arrests of the OWS Demonstrators for trespassing, leaving the field in a direction not obstructed by seated protesters. I fail to see the problem with School Administrators asking Campus Police to arrest and remove people who are not students at UC Davis and are trespassing.

If 100 webmaster from GFY went to UC Davis to protest .xxx and we had a sit in and would not leave the campus only common sense would tell us we are going to get arrested for trespassing. Only thing this video shows is the lack of common sense by OWS goons.

Shortly before 4 p.m., about 35 officers from UC Davis and other UC campuses as well as the city of Davis responded to the protest, said Annette Spicuzza, UC Davis police chief. They were wearing protective gear and some held batons.

She said officers were forced to use pepper spray when students surrounded them. They used a sweeping motion on the group, per procedure, to avoid injury, she said.

"There was no way out of that circle," Spicuzza said. "They were cutting the officers off from their support. It's a very volatile situation."

There was no way out. The cops were surrounded and they had to battle their way to safety by pepper spraying 10 protesters sitting down LOL. She makes it sound like they were marines in Nam cut off and had to fight their way out against all odds. Great "newspeak" Annette, Orwell would be proud of big sister. I love how these automatons have the balls to say this bald faced lie even in the face of video showing clearly the opposite. Shows you just how bold the police are and how fucked anyone still living in America is- LOL

Sure would be nice if someone in the Media would confirm if these are in fact OWS goons or student demonstrators protesting the tuition increase.

Police say the students were given until 3 p.m. Friday to remove their 28 tents from the campus. When students refused, police arrived at the given time. Students sat down cross-legged and locked arms when cops showed up. Police say the demonstrators surrounded them, prompting them to use pepper spray.
So in other words, UC Davis decided it wasn't a campground, and ordered the students to remove the tents from the campus. They refused, and the police were called in to handle the situation. The students refused to cooperate, refused to move, and were arrested.

Don't pretend the kiddies didn't do anything here.

Oh, btw, it's not "Their University". It belongs to the tax payers.

It's comical how you quote an article, but pick and choose what you want it to say:

Quote:
Karen Nikos, a UC Davis spokeswoman, said the campers were given written warning to remove the tents by 3 p.m. or police would remove them. She said many of the campers did take down their tents before police arrived.

Shortly before 4 p.m., about 35 officers from UC Davis and other UC campuses as well as the city of Davis responded to the protest, said Annette Spicuzza, UC Davis police chief. They were wearing protective gear and some held batons.
You forgot to mention the part where the students were told to take down the tents by the school.

Sorry Charlie. It's a school, not a fucking campground. It is not your property, and you do not have the right to pitch a tent on a college campus. They were told to remove the tents, and when they failed the police were called in to handle the disturbance. When the students failed to comply to police orders, well, they got sprayed.

I just can't see it being the current OWS folk though. A bunch of ragtag hippies, and uni students? Who do they have on their side that's of any importance? Jesse Ventura, Alex Jones, and Michael Moore? Nobody cares in the slightest what they say.

Get some highly decorated US generals, or even guys like George Clooney and Matt Damon. At least people respect them, and listen to what they say. Right now, it's just a bunch of dirty idiots sitting around in parks, wiggling their fingers at each other, and doing dumb stunts like raiding churches and yelling at the minister. Oh, and that human microphone thing has to go to. Wow, I can't possibly think of a more annoying way to try and convey a message.

I agree, there's a decent chance of a popular uprising on the horizon, but I highly doubt it'll be the current OWS. Everyone keeps saying another financial meltdown is coming, which is going to make 2008 pale in comparison, so maybe that'll be the trigger. If and when you have hard working, intelligent, respectable folk who have their life savings wiped out, then you can maybe expect something to happen.

I agree. OWS claims to be the 99%, but they really aren't. A large percentage of the general population agree with their general message ("banks are bad") but so very few are protesting.

Nobody particularly gives a shit what rich, white, spoiled kids say either. If they spent 30 years busting their ass to become a millionaire, they probably wouldn't be singing the same tune as they are now.

?The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.?

Quote:
Perpetrators, collaborators, bystanders, victims: we can be clear about three of these categories. The bystander, however, is the fulcrum.

If there are enough notable exceptions, then protest reaches a critical mass. We don?t usually think of history as being shaped by silence, but, as English philosopher Edmund Burke said,

?The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.?

If you are not hearing the message of the OWS protesters, perhaps you are not listening...

Quote:
Dear Occupiers of Wall Street: A Love Letter

I?m feeling such gratitude/hero-worship for the OWS protesters. I know how tired and hungry and foolish it feels to stand in public, standing on nothing but your principles. I know how energizing and wonderful and empowering it can feel to meet so many like-minded folks. It?s group therapy of the best kind to to look someone in the eye and hear, ?This happened to me, too.? There?s power in that.

I know that many times demands of a protest are not met. During my first ever protest at 17 years old, the Thing That We Were Marching Against happened while we wept on the sidewalk. But even if OWS does nothing else, it has already done so much.

It has awakened the knowledge in our bones that we don?t have to suffer in silence, we can have a voice. It has hopefully held up a much-needed mirror to the ones who?ve been crying ?class warfare? over being in the higher tax bracket.

Of course not all of the 10% or even the 1% fall into this argument. (I do wish that I could join them, but I was already out of work for most of 2009, so I know all too well how hard it will be to get another job if I lose this one.)

First of all, shame on all those who have cast dispersions on the protests. Really! Seriously! It must be quite a place of luxury to sit ?on high? while people (who have lost their retirement savings, their jobs, or God forbid, the roof over their heads) demonstrate their righteous outrage at those who profited OBSCENELY from sinking our investments.

What certain execs on Wall Street have done to Americans is nothing short of disgusting. They?ve been doing it for years and it?s a wonder the people?s revolution has taken this long. The hard work and savings that we saw as a duty to future generations and an obligation to our families, they saw as a game.

We entered into a trust agreement with Wall Street. Foolish? You bet. We believed they were on our side; that the design of the markets dictated that growth for them would mean growth for us. They violated that agreement for many years.

They have made gross profits by keeping our wages low, and then shared the profits with us, and we were quiet. They made billions by gouging our food, fuel, and home prices and then gave us a slice of the pie to shut us up. They made record-breaking, unheard-of sums of money by trashing our shared oceans and our shared air, and our health has suffered. But our 401Ks were seeing 12% gains and we mistook that money for Our Fair Share. But now things have changed.

Light is the best disinfectant, and some important truths have been brought to light. They swindled hard-working folks by selling them toxic assets and then asked those same folks to loan them the dough to cover the losses. And now the critics expect these protesters to thank them for helpfully pointing out that their complaints don?t fit handily on a bumper sticker? I. Don?t. Think. So.

90% of the bank bailout money was repaid. We lost some billions of dollars on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but ultimately we absorbed the Wall Street losses in a much more personal way.

We lost our savings and our job security. We have a lower standard of living than our parents did thanks to the greed of a few. I have no right to suggest demands on behalf of the gutsy folks who have actually worn out shoe leather exercising their First Amendment rights. Bravo to them.

And I know that the ideologies represented by the protesters run the gamut from Communist to Tea Party and everything between? But I think I have an idea of a starting place for how Wall Street could make it up to us. They can start by listening. They can start by offering some demonstration of remorse, such as turning in the members of their tribe, the ones who cheated and robbed us, to face legal justice. (despite the impracticality of pursuing and trying criminals that could number in the hundreds?)

They could start by offering to pay for the American Jobs Bill. They can start by waking up to the reality that they have helped to create and offer solutions.

Peace and Love,

ADG

You are now part of the corporate machine that is attempting to blur, confuse, and pigeonholing the real message behind the core of the movement, because they know their very power may now be at stake.

Congratulation, you are another cog in the wheel that is running over our democracy!

People seem to forget most police do not get to make the decisions. The police are only doing what they were told to do after being issued the pepper spray. The OWS people in the cases I have seen were told to move along, they were breaking a law.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_rights_movement

The civil rights movement was a worldwide political movement for equality before the law occurring between approximately 1950 and 1980.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Left

The New Left was a term used mainly in the United Kingdom and United States in reference to activists, educators, agitators and others in the 1960s and 1970s who sought to implement a broad range of reforms, in contrast to earlier leftist or Marxist movements that had taken a more vanguardist approach to social justice and focused mostly on labor unionization and questions of social class.[2]

it's only been two months. there is plenty of time for goals and tactics to evolve.

This started before the police were brought in. The students were told to remove the tents by the school, and they refused. When college students refuse to obey the rules of the college, they are escorted off campus. In this case, the police were called. The students refused to listen to anyone, and the police went to arrest them. In very simple English, when the police are called into a dispute of this nature and the only resolution is to remove someone by force, the police will use force.

I think the police were surrounded. From the video I see a line of protesters blocking the sidewalks, protesters on both sides, and a group of police officers in the middle. You can't really see what's behind the police officers, but you can plainly see that in the back the police officers have their backs facing the camera. The officers in back were watching the far side of this group of officers.

Whatever. Some dumb kids refused to listen to the school staff, the police were called, the kids refused to "obey a peace officer" and were arrested, by force, using pepper spray.

This is what protesters do. They put police in an impossible situation and then exploit it. Our grandparents did this in the 1960s.

Police used batons to try to push the students apart. Those they could separate, they arrested, kneeling on their bodies and pushing their heads into the ground. Those they could not separate, they pepper-sprayed directly in the face, holding these students as they did so. When students covered their eyes with their clothing, police forced open their mouths and pepper-sprayed down their throats. Several of these students were hospitalized. Others are seriously injured. One of them, forty-five minutes after being pepper-sprayed down his throat, was still coughing up blood.

If you don't like the taste of pepper spray, don't participate in a riot, don't even get near one.

Oh Quit wit the spin.

I watched a video not sure if it was the same one, about 8 minutes long I think.
at the end the Protesters were chanting we will Let you Leave in peace.

They sprayed the protesters that were sitting down blocking access. (The reason the police were called) You can tell the last and final order was given, because all the officers got back, then the one did a sweeping spray across the line.

If I go and protest, I know and am expecting to be pepper sprayed if I am blocking access, or other peoples rights to use the area being blocked.

DAVIS, Calif. -- Video surfaced online Saturday showing an officer at a California university calmly pepper-spraying a line of several sitting protesters, who flinch and cover their faces but remain passive with their arms interlocked as onlookers shriek and scream out for the officer to stop.

The chancellor of the University of California, Davis described the video images as "chilling" and said she was forming a task force to investigate even as a faculty group called for her resignation because of the incident Friday.

"The use of the pepper spray as shown on the video is chilling to us all and raises many questions about how best to handle situations like this," Chancellor Linda Katehi said in a message posted on the school's web site on Saturday.

ummm, the cops were circled. A second groupl of cops came up from behind and started making people move off the sidewalk. They were on the same side of the crowd as the car was.

The kids that got sprayed had ample opportunity to slide over 3' in either direction. They opted not to.
lol baddog youre so dumb

the police had ample opportunity to arrest them without pepper spray. they opted not to.

pepper spray is for protecting yourself, not just something you do before an arrest

i hope next time you get pulled over the cop just comes up and sprays you in the face then writes you a ticket but then again you seem like the kind of guy who would suck a cops dick
