freaky coincidence? or is google THAT smart?
serious; i was pretty baffled just a few minutes ago when i visited the "auto corrected" thread (still giggling) ... on the linked page, way at the bottom, is a google ads field ... and guess what? there was an ad to a shop related to one of the searches i did just a few hrs ago
 cud it be google goes THAT far?

I noticed that a while back. I guess the Google checks the cookie of the retail site's you visited and displays ads for the adwords account.
