About .XXX ........ The FTC is your friend

watching .XXX play out it's pretty obvious this was far shadier, in my opinion, than most people thought, stop bitching on GFY and make your complaints to the FTC.

Considering they are taking domains away from people already, yea, it is worse then expected.

We all knew it was going to be shady, but now that ICM has seen the domains bought, they are now picking and choosing which ones they want to retract and keep for themselves.

I think this is a good idea. I will draft up a complaint regarding ICM and ICANN today and get it off.
Maybe the revenue boys need to do some digging into their finances too; after all we are talking about 2 organizations that seem to be greasing each others dicks to fuck as many people over for the sake of the all mighty dollar. I would not doubt it if their nonferrous acts go even deeper than we are aware of.

Lets see what happens ;)

While I agree that complaints should be forwarded to the proper agencies, I'm glad they are being posted here, and hope they don't "stop bitching." Being informed on exactly what's going on isn't a bad thing.

Completely agree. I also wonder if there is potential for a class action lawsuit centered around the failure to award keyword domains on a first come, first serve basis at standard rates.

ICANN uses the above complaint reports to monitor compliance and not to resolve individual complaints. But if they get swarmed with complaints it is much more likely that something will be done. You don't have to own an .xxx domain to complain. You can simply state that the way you believe the .xxx tld is being managed is both unethical and improper and then go into details.

It sure would be nice for the media to visit boards like this in order to have the opportunity to view the adult industry "non support" of .XXX and the nonferrous ways of ICM and ICANN.

In my opinion, all those .xxx topics here, simply advertises .xxx , as more webmasters are going to think that .xxx is very relevant, getting more relevant in future, and so they are more afraid not to register domains, and so they will decide to register domains because seeing everyone talk about it good or bad that is).
Whoever it is against .xxx, should not create and bounce so many .xxx drama posts in GFY... if you want less webmasters to register xxx domains, simply do not talk of it, like it is not relevant, so no one should worry enough to be scared and register before that soneone else does it, don't you think?

.xxx is not relevant. Only web masters are talking about it and these posts will be gone within a week.

I have to disagree, there has been mainstream discussion about .xxx. Even on facebook, people are making jokes about it.

You stole the advice I've been giving for awhile. I want royalties!

FTC works best for those that bought a xxx domain and feels duped. Maybe everybody should buy just one and then flood the FTC complaint box. Even though it's a huge agency it doesn't take too many similar complaints to get their attention.
