Why are CAMS impossible to convert?

Cams.com, Webcams.com, Awempire, Clickcash, you name it... Tried them all... Why are they IMPOSSIBLE to convert?

What's the catch?

How can the same traffic convert at 1:200 - 1:500 with a regular paysite that is free at file sharing sites, but when you try to convert cams, they just don't convert ? Even CCBILL paysites convert a trillion times better than cam sponsors.

I would just don't bother and avoid cams, but everyone here talks about it, so either they are looking for webmaster referral comissions, or I am missing something.

On pay per view cams we had a real good run with Streamate and I mean really good. Last 3 months we have done zero. We did it by targetting the individual pornstars on Streamate and sending the traffic there.

I feel ya, I have some good converting traffic and no matter what I do I can't convert cams or dating.

so chances are they have signed up by the time they come to your site.

its like putting a tiny shop in a town of 6 supermarkets.

I also have trouble converting some of the large cam sponsors mentioned above, but I am pushing 80k in Japanese niche cams sales.

My success was due to using keyword rich search word domains and some whale bait.

You always say this, as if that's the only reason they don't convert. Sure most of the people are probably doing that, but for others who actually try it's still a mystery on converting cams/dating. I've tried a slew of clever ways to promote cams and had no luck thus far. IMO I'd say it's a SE traffic game, but I know there are others who are doing it without SE traffic, so I'm still clueless.

I'm asking for a very good reason, linking to a cam site is as worthless as linking to the main page of a paysite with no context. How do you convert doing that?

I'm not going to say I don't link the lazy way for certain things but it converts at a fraction of the rate of when I actually try to promote things on my end before sending my customer off to never never land.

Yeah I know what you mean. I always try to sell before they hit the sponsor site, whether it be with a page or a banner. But I also link directly to the main tour most of the time and do great. Other times it's beneficial to link to the join. Just depends on how you're doing it I guess. But usually, linking to the main page is the least of the problem if you ask me..

I don't track as well as I used to but the difference in linking to join vs linking to main page back when I beat the shit out of Clickcash was 1:40 vs 1:1200. I'd say it matters quite a bit.

Yes, depends on what you're doing though. You can link to a main page just fine, other times it's better to link to the join if your promotion method has already sold them and they're ready to buy. You could be saying "this site offers X and X, click here to view it" and link to the main page, or show them what is being offered previously, on a similar looking page, and link to the join. Depends on what you're doing..

I have done well in the past with Cams.com but currently only use Streamate. I only do white labels and filter all traffic buys to only high quality english speaking countries. Quality traffic sent to a good keyword domain name, good logo, on a rev share model will build over time. Some only buy once in a while but at least 33% of my sign ups spend $$$ every month so even if your conversion ratio is less than a paysite their long term income potential is greater. Buy traffic from traffic brokers, search engines, directories, hard links etc... affiliate tag it so you know which source is producing sign ups/sales combined with analytics so you can see time on site, page views, bounce rate etc... drop the weak sources and increase $ to the ones producing. Quality traffic is key but takes a bit of wasted money to figure out which sources produce along with linking from your own websites. Throwing money to advertise something without analyzing traffic stats/sales doesn't allow you to remove the bad sources and adjust your budget to the stronger ones to continually improve. Best case scenario linking to the main page was around 1:500. That is linking to main "depending on what I'm doing". If my shit converts 1:40 and the best case scenario for "doing something else" is 1:500 then why would I ever link to it like that? I wouldn't. If you are going to promote a sponsor you should do it correctly, cam sites aren't made with tours to convert a surfer like paysites nor should they be. You put in a days worth of work and you'll have a way to link to the cam site more optimally regardless of what you setup is. That is what I keep stressing, if cam sites only let me link to the main page I would not promote them. Period.

Oh for sure, linking to a cam main page is not the best bet (you would know of course, I'm just guessing). I'm just saying overall, promoting paysites or whatever it is, sometimes it is better to link the main page over the join page and vice versa, it's up to everyone to figure out which one works best for them. Don't put all your eggs in one basket sort of thing..

This may be obvious, and something everyone knows already, but I'll type it anyway

I get monthly paychecks from a few cam sponsors. I'm not getting rich, but I'm consistent. When I promote black guys on cams, I surround the promo material with iframes and live video feeds of black guys on cams, that link to the black guy's video chat room. Genius huh?

Same with Asian girls, and Latina Trannies, and every other specific niche I can promote with a video or a picture gallery and surround with iframes and video feeds that lead to that niche's live feed.

I also split it up between promoting "watch this chick for free" and "for only a few bucks this chick will get naked for you." So far, telling the surfer he or she should expect to pay for the goods before he or she gets to the site is more profitable than advertising the free angle.

Again, this is probably incredibly obvious.
